Qualifications to Host:
Emergency judge, MTS official Calendar Contest.

Concept:

This contest is for TS3 only. For each round contestants will be given a theme around which to create an animal. There will be 4 unique themes, and contestants will be expected to stretch their creating muscles and use cats, dogs and horses.

What skills are required to participate?:
Contestants are expected to make unique pets, with custom coats and sculpts. Contestants must be able and willing to create cats, dogs and horses. We are looking for originality and realism.

Rules:

• There will be no eliminations
• All CC is allowed
• Absolutely no Photoshopping is allowed
• Slider hacks/multipliers are not allowed
• Adult and Elder pets only, no babies

• Each round will have a theme, contestants should create one animal that fits in with that theme
• For the first round contestants are free to use whatever species they desire.
• For the other three rounds contestants may use any species (cat, dog or horse) of their choosing, but must use each species once and no more.

Posting:

• Contestants should write a short (100-200 words) bio on each pet, listing their name and traits.

Screenshots
In order for the judges to be able to evaluate the quality of each creation, we require three specific screenshots for each pet:

• Portrait: A screenshot showing the face, taken from the front at the animal's eye-level. Animal should be wearing a neutral expression, no open mouths, rolling eyes, etc.
• Side: A screenshot showing the entire side of the animal while it's standing still. No running, walking, jumping, etc. The head should be facing forward, not turned toward or away from the camera. Should be taken from near the level of the animal's back.
• Theme: A screenshot of the animal participating in the theme of the round. This can be an action shot, a set up scene. Show that you have thought of the theme when creating!

Entries that fail to include these screenshots will be penalized! Each entry can also have two additional screenshots of the contestant's choice, bringing the maximum number of screenshots per entry to 5.

Please note, all screenshots must be at least 800x600 pixels. Screenshots must meet both dimensions, e.g. a screenshot that is 800x400 is not large enough.



Timeline:

First round of contest is a warm up round, that lasts 2 weeks. This will give people enough time to get to know the rules, asks questions, and decide if they want to take part.

The following rounds last for one week each and will be posted after the scores of the previous round have been posted.

Scoring:

Pets will be judged on 4 criteria:

• Coat: 10 points
• Sculpt: 10 points
• Originality: 10 points
• Relevance to theme: 5 points

Judges' individual scores will be tallied for a total score for each round. The maximum possible score for each round is 105 points.

Penalties:
Penalties will be awarded for entries that do not follow the rules of the contest.

• Repeating a species in last three rounds: -10 points
• Photoshopping: -5 points
• Incorrect or missing required screenshots: -5 per screenshot
• Too many screenshots: -5 per screenshot over the limit
• No bio, missing required information: max -5 points. -3 for no bio, -1 per if missing name, traits.

The contest winner is the person who gets the highest cumulative score from all four rounds.
