Would the rabbithole replica need to actually be a replica? Just clarification.

I got the no-plants thing from the dryness of the world, I suppose.

Yzisme, the replica can either be a literal replica (like an exact copy of the hospital rabbit hole) or can be your own design, but it has to be realistic and furnished.

And Jake Hughes, the list is just an estimate but if you built a bunker (are bunker and bomb shelter interchangeable?) then it wouldn't go amiss, i'm sure we could fit it in somewhere, just be prepared to edit it later on.

Not a problem, Prawler, just a suggestion.

Simsample has closed the thread on the world btw, as expected. Perhaps PM a Mod and see if they can at least move it over here. If not another needs to be started.

I have bookmarked the other threads and will take a look today at the building section to see what I would like to tackle.

Cameranutz2 you were right. Sorry. I thought the moderators would just leave it.
Jake Hughes, I'll look for one now and PM the creator
and VampireSims, I'll add it to the list, do you want to build it?

EDIT: I'm an idiot, we already have one, ani_ said we can use his mods, he has the no shopping from fridge mod

I don't see apartments on the list, but, I'll probably add some since we'll need them to generate some NPCs. Not sure of lot sizes as yet but probably no bigger than 30x30.

Cameranutz2 I was hoping to have a few abandoned apartment high rises in the city, if you'd like to build those. I apologise if i haven't updated everyone, but there will be a contest for the sims that will be included, I'm starting another group in a minute for anyone who wants to be a judge.

EDIT: I've made the group for the judges, the links to all the sub-groups are on the members list thread in the main project group, the link is in my signature. I hope that isn't too complicated, I've set it up so its easier for non-members to find.

I would also like to claim the the graveyard. I think it would be fun to make, since I work in one in real life.

So I have a million ideas that are pretty random, but I think this one could work, if someone working on rabbit holes would like to collaborate, or just take over the idea.

First, I really like the idea of doctors working on curing the diseases. They could perhaps have a custom rabbit hole with a slightly modified doctor career (and they can run around inoculating zombies, lol).

But most careers wouldn't be practical. However, part of the fun of the sims, imo, is running around like crazy trying to do things that will help your sim achieve goals and get those reward points, job advancements, skill boosts, etc. Most of these opportunities come from jobs and rabbit holes.

Enter the brand-new post-apocalyptic rabbit hole. Someone else would have to make it, but I would be willing to try slogging through the scripting and writing opportunities and stuff to go with it. The purpose of the rabbit hole (and we could have more than one) is that it would be a place where survivors would meet to organize rebuilding efforts and so forth. Survivors would "register" and be drafted into the recovery effort (I guess it would have to be labeled a career). But from my understanding, custom careers can have any work hours you choose, so they could simply attend, say, a two-hour "planning meeting" or something, once a week. This could open up opportunities for sims to actually get out in the world and meet other sims. Who wants to run around making friends and risk running into zombies? But who doesn't want to run around and risk zombie-attack if you're delivering medical supplies to the camp of survivors across the river? I'm thinking post-apocalypse there wouldn't be much need for cash, so there'd be no paychecks, but when sims advance to the next "career level" - or prove their worth to the community - they would get object rewards, like maybe a steak, or better refrigerator to store all the food they're growing, or something else somewhat useful. They could also gain skill points through the opportunities.

If the sims divided into different factions with different goals, there could be different rabbit holes to represent this (I don't know if a single town could handle more than two rival parties seeking control of things). Each sim could be assigned to one or the other group, or unaffiliated. Job requirements in this situation could include raiding rival rabbit holes for supplies, or spying for information, etc.

Could one or more of the bunkers be apartments? Bunker builders, what do you think? Would that work with any of your visions?

Argh i wanted to do an graveyard. Ah well, maybe there could be two, or three even. Ive also got a Mall that I originally made for my unfinished strangetown world. Anyway I put a Pic of a Grveyard i built for strangetown. The gloomy old Manor was a Combined Mausoleum/tomb for people to explore. The sand will be replaced by the standard Terrain paint underneath. I also would quite like a Skyscraper; a Mall and/or Retail Park; A Farm (now a Park); and an Abandoned Subdivision thats now a Refugee Camp. So can i Have Dibs on some of those, but others could make some of their own too (especially Farms, Malls and Retail Parks.) Anyway Check out Playa del Lago (in Signiture) and you will see my Retail Parks there.

P.s.
I also think a park turned into a farm would also be cool too

Lulume sounds good, but it depends on if they can actually be created, and on the story we decide. I'm about to make a thread for the story.
Squaretable, when you described your graveyard in an old building, i think it would be weird to have tombstones and urns like that- so I was thinking, if/when i can get dead bodies as objects, it would be a good place to explore as a body dump site instead of actually being a graveyard.

Just an idea, since I had success with one in strangetown (my one) I thought I could put it in this town, it was abandoned anyway, and still, just an idea

Sorry for the double post: I expected others to have posted while I was asleep! Here's my ideas I posted in lot claiming
There's a mountain in section six I'd quite like to level, and I was wondering, could I extend some of my building into Sextion Eight. I'll see if I can do Work on some of the lots in six today and work on a Ruined Skyscraper or destroying retail parks and Malls. I build all my Skyscrapers with Constrainfloorelevation so they'll look custom made. I plan on putting in Offices, a Restaurant and flats into it (using Residential Rabbithole hole Rugs signs and doors. I'd recommend building a nuke plant over several lots, for all the reactors.
Not sure if that was entirely appropriate for here but ah well

I thought, that matrix wants to build the whole town?
But I read his post today, that he only wants to build a few lots.

I think that's a good idea. I especially would like to put some death fish into the graveyard's pond. I would also like to place the life fruit and the death flower into the underground catacombs. Would that be a good idea?

I see graveyard was claimed, but not added @1st post.
If you would like more than 1, I'd still make a graveyard.

Confused as to whether we're to request lots in the CAW thread to build these lots, as well.
If so, is anyone doing city planning type arrangement? (So that there's sense to the layout of all of the lots--e.g. school not surrounded by bars, etc.)

This is a good question. Perhaps sometime soon, those working on whole sections could "pencil in" their plans for each of their lots. We sort of know what's going where in the two sections people are individually claiming, but this could help everyone get a sense of what the town will look like a bit more.

Along these lines, I was thinking about what dominant architectural styles the town will take. Does anyone have a strong vision in this regard?

Maybe like a 50s or 20s theme could be cool
R 80s or future?

50's or 80's sound nice. Not too keen on futuristic, though. Still, would be helpful to know so that we can build accordingly.

Even though I was born in 1999 I love the 80s and 80s music.
The 50s had all that nice relaxing music and Rock n Roll.
With the 20s thing I was thinking of something like Old Town from The Sims Unleashed, with all the jazz stuff.
You might not know but I like SciFi and I like Near-Future things. In fact Sims 2 had lots of near future and SciFi aspects to it. Maybe we could divide the town up because of when it was built.
