Hey everyone. Now, I know I can't be the only one who was literally obsessed with The Sims' themes, as well as The Sims 2's themes. They're pretty much the mold that held the game together and kept me playing

My favorites ones would have to be:

Junkie XL's Neighborhood Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziUoUJhr8qw

Hyper's Sim the Builder: http://youtu.be/l3TAtGlIhvI

Tinkering for Toiletries: http://youtu.be/deeIYW95SOU (I don't know why I like it.. it's just kind of catchy)

Lemon Jelly Remix - Arch of the Sims: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8P-LpNHTiI

So, what are you favorites? Or do you not like them at all?

Junkie XL's Neighborhood Theme

Sim Heaven (my favorite, I have it as the game start-up theme): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiB_r1fGsik&feature=plcp

The Sims 2 (P.C.) - Music: Chocolate : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hrg1...ture=plpp_video

There is one from Pet Stories that I got into the sims 2. I adore it!

Stop and sim:

Shopping Spree

TS2 Seasons Neighborhood track (although its disable, I still love it).

Also TS2 Uni Theme.

Basically, all that appeared in TS2 Pets Console version are my fave! OMG! There are just so many that I love.

Junie XL Is the best. I love all the songs from Nightlife

From the original sims, Botox Forever from Superstar is flawless. I have it on like, every radio station in game, and in my Build mode folder. When it startsv playing in build moe, it completely changes the mood of how I build

I totally get why you like Tinkering for Toilets. It's one of the ones I find myself humming along to the most!

All in all, I'm a huge fan of Sims 2 music in general. Hearing even a snippet of anything from the original game gives me a thrill, and I especially love the neighborhood music from Makin' Magic.

And though I'm not a fan of Sims 3, I DO like what little I've heard of the music for that too. Good music is one thing I think remains consistent throughout the franchise.

I do have to say I was a little disappointed in the AL loading theme. I don't dislike it, but it just doesn't grab me like the other EP themes do.

Man, all this music brings back memories. I get annoyed whenever I have to switch from buy/build/live mode because then the song changes. I hate the way chairs that haven't been moved in yet look so I always have to go to live mode. Then the music switches and I'm like AHH! The Chocolate Song is awesome.

I've been trying to switch up my radio stations when I play. So far, college rock, Jazz, and R&B are really awesome.

That's because the EP is about Social classes, and the music probably portrays that of Socialites, calm and soft music, like those in restaurants.

Weird - I dislike all the TS2 music. I had it all turned off at one point. I did like some of the TS1 music. Hmmm - not sure what that's about.

Polgannon Project Seriously, I'm still working on it.

It's certainly less peppy than a lot of the other music.

I just downloaded the Makin' Magic soundtrack, and am playing it now.
edit: Link to The Sims music downloads removed since I'm not sure it's legal to make it available for free. Those who still have The Sims, as I do, can easily extract the music from the disks for personal use.

Okay, good thing I'm not the only one

I like the Sims 3 music too.. but I just don't get that same feeling like I did when playing TS2 or TS1. I think I just like it because I'm in orchestra.. and it's more orchestral now :P

Is it? (More orchestral) Cool.

What do you play? (I'm an orch dork from waaaaay back. Cello. )

Like I said, I haven't heard a lot of Sims 3 music, but what I have heard was good. Of course, those of us who haven't actually played Sims 3 will never like the Sims 3 music quite as much. I think playing the game while listening to the music in it enhances the emotional connection hugely.

I'm more of an instrumentalist, so I play many of them but my main one is the bassoon.
I also play clarinet, alto clarinet, bass clarinet, violin, flute, tenor saxophone, and alto saxophone.

Impressive! Especially with violin included alongside that long list of wind instruments.
I've played a few other things as well - piano, violin briefly, flute - but these days I only play the recorder (soprano, alto, tenor, and sopranino), and that rarely.

Back OT:
It occurs to me to wonder, is it legal download music from The Sims for free like I did from that link I posted above, or should I remove that? (I still own the whole game and can get the music off my own disks.)

It would definitely be The Sims™ 2 Nightlife: Timo Maas - Neighborhood Theme for me.
I love this theme.

I don't think there are any TS2 themes I like. I've swapped out all the build/buy and neighborhood music with TS's build/buy and neighborhood. I've also added TS music to my radio stations.

edit: Okay, upon further review I like Junkie XL's Neighborhood Theme (which is my current start-up music) and Sim Heaven.

further edit: One of my radio stations is all the Sims MM music. That's the station they play in the Goth house.

Are you guys aware that there is an upload for the sims 3 main theme music programmed for sims 2 here on MTS? You can use it as a main theme for sims 2.

ME. TOO.

I always mute my game when it's loading because I am getting so tired of listening to the piano theme. That's the AL one right? Or maybe I'm thinking of M&G Stuff. Either way I don't like it.

I loved Nightlife and University's loading themes *sigh* I feel nostalgic now.

I seriously need to get this music on my ipod. I think that may be this weekends project.

This one is good. :3

Is there a tutorial on how to change the loading theme? I would LOVE to get rid of the piano one. If I never hear it again it'll be too soon.

I like the FreeTime version of the theme. I like it 'cause it was all circus-y and junk.

Yeah, I'm weird. LOL!

I said a bow string, not a G -- oh, never mind.

I downloaded a lot of Sims 1 music and now have that in my game, it's absolutely beautiful. Maxis really put time and effort into it. The Sims 2 music gets a bit repetitive after a while but I do like the NL music.

I love all Night Life musics, themes, radio stations (including classic, 50's music kind of fun Listening to them always when playing TS2, muting other annoying EP musics.
