Building a world would be easier if the Create A World program wasn't so unstable, and unpredictable. The past few days I played around with CAW and I eventually learned plenty. I realized that it wasn't a difficult tool to use at all. As of right now I am making a whole world which connects these three neighborhoods together. As I take more screen shots I will be able to explain exactly on what I plan to do with the three. So far I can tell you that Pleasantview and Veronaville are separated by Strangetown. The world is a big map. Eventually I'll add on a downtown, but Downtown might be named Sim City and maybe I'll add Bluewater village. This is a commitment I am taking I have messed up so many times on my worlds but had no problem starting over. I would love to hear feedback and tips. |

Sounds like an interesting idea! My best advice would be to go to the Create > Sims 3 > Create-a-World forum here http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=616 and read some of the tips, tricks, etc. there. There are also lots of CC and non-CC things you can add to your world. Good luck with your project! |

Thank you for your feedback that link you gave me really helped as of right now Im done with Pleasantview I was working on strangetown but it was to close to the edge and wasnt going to fit veronaville so I'm making strangetown the small little town it should be I put it to the far edge and there might be room for a highway. I will post pictures so you can see what Im talking about, |

Wow, Goodluck! I did this a while ago and managed to fit everything in, I just failed completely at the terrain Painting- So I'd suggest reading those tutorials especially. I built all the occupied houses in Pleasantview and all the houses from Strangetown if you'd like them, I can help you with the town planning etc if you want as well. (ALSO, if you are anything like me and want to make the sims with their complete family trees, I did go around all the TS3 towns and saved each sim to bin that appeared in TS1/TS2, if you would like those too) A few questions: Are you making PV, ST and VV to their exact map (like with the bridge in PV) ? What are your plans on the community lots? are you going to make replicas of the ones from each town? Do you plan to incorporate aspects from each of the EPs eg. the rabbitholes and community lots that come with them? Did you ever play TS1? In my version I tried to include sims that werent in TS2 like the Mashugas, Hicks, Kat, Charming, and Roomies Are you including the Landgraabs? Gah, I shouldnt have come here, my crazy will be released. I worked out all the family trees for sims that were in the console versions, for example there were Goth's and Landgraabs - and then I made sure there were houses for them. BUT then SimSample told me something valuable: For the world to run smoothly, you dont want more than 200 lots maximum (there are about 50+ lot assignments) Also if you are including sims (there's a way of pre-packing sims into a world file via CAW) you dont want more than 100-150 sims max, and that includes NPCs Anyway, if you need help with anything, PM me

Thank you very much, for your response, so basically there was many attempts on creating this world. My first one I didnt really know how to use the tools and that was a big mess so I played around a little bit till I got. I used a medium flat 200 and I finished creating Pleasantview and Strangetown but couldnt fit veronaville or downtown so i used the large flat land but it was to unstable as in the world would crash wouldnt save and more. I eventually decided to use the medium flat Pleasantview is a reasonable size while Strangetown is smaller while Veronaville is a little different you will see that in the pictures. Veronaville is still seperated by a river which empties out into the pleasantview bay (I dont know what to call it yet) and across the bay is the city. I have only played sims 1 on console and only familiar with of course the landgraab family, but yes I would love to have the families I want to expand the families. The suspension bridge was to big so I had to use a smaller bridge and I don't like the view of it at all and might just make into a highway I would love to hear more opinions. And this is my first town so it's not going to be perfect. The community lots are downloads from a creator on this site other than that I added a few venues apartments clubs, stores and way more packed into one island. I havent added decorations yet so far I have added mountains and roads and the lots. I'm going to post a few pictures and I want you to tell what I should do with the empty spaces that would be very helpful. |
