Default What are the expansions you want for Sims 4?Ideas
I'll give my opinion:
- World Adventures. With more elaborate worlds. I'd like to see in the game, France, China, Egypt (improved) or Italy, New York, Tokyo. I really like to see New York or Tokyo.
* In Italy I would like to see many restaurants to eat pizza (No Rabbit holes) or sit on the terrace of the bar and have a drink. I also want to see "The Tower of Pisa", the Colosseum, a ride in motorcycle and right now I can not think of anything else ...!
* In New York I would like to see many buildings, food stalls of hot dog, hotels, ice skating and the most important: Shops. Many stores: Clothing, shoes, jewelry, even furniture! I've thought of a new career: Model.
* In Tokyo we might play in an arcade machine. Japanese restaurants (Again no Rabbit holes), and travel by train. Hairdressers.
- Ambitions? No! I think that this must go in base game. Of course, with many jobs. Works as:
* Scientific.
* Kitchen, is it necessary to say that the game needs new most delicious and varied recipes?
* Criminal (Robber and Emperor of Evil), with the possibility robbing, choose home etc..
* Police (researcher, CSI and super agent).
* Sportsman. (With possibility of becoming a player in football, basketball, tennis ...) with events to see.
* Medicine.
* Music (for different instruments).
* Business and journalism.
* Policy.
* Military.
* Nanny.
* Waiter / Waitress.
* Seer.
* Firefighter.
* Ghostbusters.
* Architectural design.
* Stylist.
* Film career (actor / actress and film producer)
* Acrobat.
* Singer.
* Magician.
And work part-time and self-employed.
(New)
* Shop assistant of clothing or food.
* Assistant of cleaning.
* Model.
* Repairman.
* Astronaut.
* Psychologist / a.
All with various objects to interact.
- Late Night and Showtime together.
- Pets. Cats, dogs, horses, unicorns, chickens, cows, parrots, snakes, rodents, birds, etc. With more interactions.
- Generations. As with Ambitions. Surplus. From the base game should have more interactions with children, bachelor parties, bridal arches and all that expansion brings. Perhaps an expansion pack to extend objects, but NOT an expansion. Yes to changing tables. No to babies-kebab.
- University life? Please...Since they did Generations, they could have included University in Generations, with boarding schools.
- Supernatural.
- Seasons and Island paradise together.
- Into the future...I don't know...I love robots!

I know that asking too much ... they are just ideas and dreams! xDDD
And you, do you have any ideas for new expansions?
I just come to mind pirate theme.

None whatsoever. I need the expansions to be priced and called as DLCs, or even better, make these free. But that's not happening because the EA wants more monies.

But do not you want a game with pets, weather, bars, etc, etc, etc ...?
Include all in a base game must be hard ... The game would be very heavy.

Since I don't know what is in the base game, I don't know what I want in an EP.

I would like:
-Open For Business (PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE)
-University
-Pets
-Seasons
-Vacation (With the Simlish equivalent of Tokyo, Italy, the Mountains, Hawaii, China, France, and a place with theme parks.
-City & Country (Big City worlds as well as a small, agricultural town).
-All In Time (Different Historical Periods available for play, such as colonial times, medieval times, the Roaring 20's, prehistoric times, as well as the future)

Many features, such as apartments, better interactions for the life stages, hobbies, and more careers, should be base game.

Excuse my terrible EP naming, these are just concepts.

Same here. I can't even get my mind to worry about an EP until we see if the base game is worth the money

Farm, Amusement/Theme park or Greek Mythology Expansion pack.

[I guess most of the people will disagree, but I am just trying to be inventive. I dont want to buy the same rehashed content for the fourth time.]

Have jobs that the Sims can work everyday - Bookstore - Spa - Pizza/Diner - Stables - Bar and these are available full-time & part time for teens with promotions in the base game.

Introduce a 'Sims @ Work' EP where your Sims can go further in their careers -

Bookstore...........magazine editor hiring models, doing magazine shoots, paying paparazzi for celebrity shots, marketing, page layouts, feature articles, hire script writers, receptionist, assistances success is based on sales, could you and your magazine reach the success of Runway in The Devil Wears Prada? could you be the next Miranda Priestly?

Spa..................team general manager where you buy and assemble a team, choose their positions of play, practise, gym workouts, team building, buying equipment, budgeting, out smart and out play richer, better teams, will your team make it to the state payoffs? will you be the next Billy Beane (Moneyball)?

Pizza/Diner................and of course a restaurateur where you build your own restaurant, choose the décor and layout, hire chefs, waiters, hostesses, entertainment, plan menus, pricing, promotions and advertising, what would you do to get customers into your restaurant, would you need a special occasion to save the restaurant from foreclosure like Primo and Secondo in Big Night?

Stables..............pet shop/veterinary where you build your own clinic/retail shop, buy and breed animals to sell for profit, run clinics, hire staff, run training courses like puppy schools, run competitions like dog agility, cat shows would you become the towns next Dr Doolittle?

Bar .......................hotel manager/owner promoting accommodation, room layouts and décor, guest amenities, developing tourism plans, bar sales and entertainment, managing and hiring cleaning staff, receptionist, porters, bar tenders, special function managers, group bookings manager, managing room preparation with check-in times, maintenance, could you be sitting at the top of the next Trump Tower?

Success could be hiring qualified staff to take over the reins while you kick back and enjoy a more leisurely life or develop further and open a chain or buy another business.

I don't know just my ramble thinking and typing (gosh these ideas may already be posted?) I did find with OFB I got very obsessed with running the business and started trying to put everything I could in the back room to keep my Sims needs up so I reckon it really needs to be a community lot which you can add residential features because who has never slept, ate and lived work in the early stages of getting a business off the ground?

Or an EP like......

https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/...G3um0ChrNK4kz5r

Different neighbourhood wealth's, different state of repairs, renovations, real estate buying and selling, hiring painters, carpenters, landscapers, negotiation weather disruptions and set backs, contractors not showing up..........

Or...

https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/...WgGiZncR3M_KMxR

I would love something like..

https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/...BtOjXGPsALHBHxA

The cast is the whole town and there is always something different happening in the town which you can ignore but may need to protect yourself and family against, you may find something out in a casual conversation in the park with someone you just met or see some strange actions or discover abandon evidence. Your husband might start acting strange and you secretly follow him to see if he is the culprit (only to find out his having an affair! ) You may do everything you can to help the police to solve the case. Or it may just be you all along and you have to out smart and outwit the law and the towns people.

Ok soz LOL - I'll shut up now!

Oh and just one more teensy note wouldn't it be great if new EPs really kept building on the content like a new weather extreme or something new to visit in WA or a new self employ job option in Ambitious, new mysteries and new NCP's ......

This would probably be considered an entirely different game, but I would love an expansion pack that allows you to start a neighbourhood at say, the beginning of time and work your way up to modern society. So at the start you only have certain items, fashions and technologies unlocked, then as time goes by, the sims learn new skills to progress and unlock new things. Objects and clothing would be specific to the era you are in, so the neighbourhood would look the part. Of course, you would have to have the ability to turn it off and have everything unlocked straight away for when you just wanna play like normal. As I said, this would most likely never happen because it would be an entirely different game, but it's always been a wish of mine since Sims 2

We've brought up something like that before (or at least, I've mentioned it). I'd love such a game, too, but I tend to agree that it's not really "Sims", which is in the ever-present, no matter how many generations you get through.

Here is a thread where it was discussed previously.

The retail EP model for any game outside of the Sims and a handful of others (WoW for one) or certain regional markets is basically dead. For the Sims 4 they will probably still do the retail EP model if chains like Gamestop are still around and of course the discs can be bought on Amazon, but most of the industry is going away from that plan. So the idea that EA should just churn out a series of EPs that will sell certain guaranteed amounts which their accountants can predict and so give guidance to their investors is attractive to them, but in the long run it's not sustainable and not interesting.

A parsnip EP, New harvestable! Parsnips! New occult: Parsnip-Sims, we need parsnip furniture and a whole new neighbourhood dedicated to parsnips; the ground, houses, cars and even the sky should all be made of parsnips.

I don't know about a theme for an EP. But I would like an EP that, in addition to whatever main content, adds law enforcement to come and try to arrest people who break tombstones, kick garbage cans, initiate fights, and vandalize and whatnot. In past Sims games the police only show up for the burglar, it's their one job. I'm not saying that the Sims should be a crime sim, but how about a little more availability of the law to keep naughty sims in check?

Even if it means buying them again. uuugghhh *rolls eyes* I would like the expansions packs in ts2. Cause I liked them enough to want them in ts4. But as far as ideas go I can only think of stuff packs. So many different stuff packs... O.o

I have no idea what is going to be in base game but I cannot help but have ideas.

The sims 4: Gods and monsters

Taking elements from mythology such as new supernatural types such as Gorgon, harpy or god in a world or worlds actually in that time period. Have the entire world run by a god or gods such as Zeus ruling one world or Ra ruling another. Sims could befriend or fight different monsters or gods from mythology, it would appease all the fan girls if they could make a sim of themselves and be with Loki.

The Sims 4: Headin' Out!
Basically the Nightlife/Late Night Stuff Pack with a new name... and more objects (aka: not getting the Showtime (Late Night 2.0) treatment).

The Sims 4: Take Off! or (insert better travel pun here)
Vacation Expansion Pack ...

The Sims 4: Open and Cashin' In
Oh gosh I can't make titles to save my life ... basically OFB.

The Sims 4: Lights! Camera! Action!
Similar to Showtime and Superstar with that Lionhead Studios The Movies twist. Uses the Emotions Engine... somewhat

The Sims 4: Think about the children.
Self explanatory (I'm just kidding about this EP)

It sounds more like you want to stuff all TS3 contents to TS4 base game, but remove all the parts you don't like. You're not talking exactly about what EP you want for TS4.

Well, I think they need to regroup how items are introduced into the game through EPs. For example, why are bars, nightlife, entertainment, and resorts so spread out over 4 EPs? They could easily be regrouped around an adult oriented theme (I mean, let's face it, bars and nightlife aren't for children anyway).

They could give us................Hooker Nights.

That even comes with a new, Ambitions like career, which you have to actively manage your sim in. Start as a hooker on a street corner. Be stuck standing around, stomach grumbling for food in the rain (there, weather is in). Rely on the seedy motel for your first workplace (resorts are in, check). Move up to working seedy bars (there, bars are in). Advance to servicing entertainment venues (bang, Showtime is in). Work you way up to a high priced escort (5 star resorts are a must, as are exclusive lounges and the ubiquitous celebrities and wannabes). Allow for specialty opportunities like best woohoo on a roller-coaster (look at that, premium content can be integrated).

Now, I understand the economics of spreading things out over 4 EPs, but really, wouldn't you pay a premium for a megaEP like that?

PLEASE, just....Don't.

Nevertheless I agree, I want to know what is included in the base game and if its actually worth the sixty dollars its priced at.

An EP where you can create superheroes and supervillains that have special, customizable powers, different names and costumes for their superhero form and their sim form (so they can stay undercover), and a secret society for these supernaturals (separate societies for superheroes and supervillains, of course) would be awesome.

Superheroes and supervillains could have several different costume types, from your average superman to your anime magical girls. You could also customize how fast or slow a superhero ages, in case you want a teenage magical girl to stay a teenager forever. You should also be able to choose whether the superhero powers can be passed on or not: maybe, even humans with a superhero or supervillain parent could have supernatural powers!

I agree with the time travel in the past expansion pack and I really enjoyed World Adventures and would like to see it again but I don't think New York is neccesary because it is Bridgeport. I would like ancient tombs again, only more destinations ( 3 is not enough), more tombs and more opportunities. And please fix the lag and everything. I know it's much to ask for but that's what you are here for. Everyone wants this game to be special.
