For those looking for anatomically correct male skins (and female too) there are some at Mermaid Cove http://www.mercosims2.com WARNING - the pictures contain nudity.

I like the skins mime white does. the only thing I have ever had aproblem with is some times their hair lines dont mach the rest of the body color so I just make sur to use a longer hair. Alos the change color when Pregers. (atlest the men. That is cuz there is no defalt male preg skin to change I guess)

I agree with Hysterical on this one...Pay sites are stupid, if ya wanna ask for donations that's fine, but if ya wanna make a little extra money on the side and REQUIRE people to "donate" then you're just being a greedy snob!

*sigh*

I am a professional web designer and IT manager for several high traffic clients, think newspapers and televisions stations. The hosting costs for high bandwidth use web sites is ungodly.

It is not unusal, atypical, or abnormal for a Sims site to have as much bandwidth consumption as a newspaper or television web site. Unlimited bandwidth hosting may cost as much as US $500, UK £400, or €500 per month.

Web site design, maintenance, and content creation require expensive software and training. You lot out there that greedily gobble up bandwidth never see the hours of suffering and hard work that the creators endure to craft the sites and content, all you see is click*click*click with the mouse.

As a person who comprehends the real life realationship of working for a living, paying house bills, trying to scrape together money for new software, and the endless cycle of trying to make ends meet, sometimes I cannot afford to pay for a DVD rental, much less pay for the cost of hosting a Sims site.

You lot that don't like or approve of paysites need to stop living in a dream world. Anyone who has ever dealt with the public in any sort of customer service role can tell you this: No amount of money on the Earth can make up for snot nosed brats whining and crying about every nit-picking thing in the world.

I think Faylen is fabulous beyond words to not ban people immediately for lipping off about how much they hate paysites. Well, I have much more important social problems to hate in this world than paysites: poverty, hunger, homelessness, racial intolerance, religious intolerance, homophobia, genocide, and pollution.

I am not saying you do not have a right to your opinion, but the rest of us have a very real and equal right to not have to hear it.

Truth be told, I am close to wishing every site was pay only, so I would never have to see the constant muling about how stupid, injust, or evil paysites are. For God's sake will you just give it a rest, play the game, and thank the people who are so KIND, GENEROUS, and NICE as to share? Or will you just not be happy until you chase off every content creator? :stfu:

I have only one God, Choice. If you remove the right to choose from any equation, how have you improved the world?

*cough* AMEN *cough*

Free things are wonderful. I am incredibly grateful to those who distribute free things that enhance the quality of my life. But I don't demand generosity from anyone, nor do I expect it. And when I give things myself, it is a gift. I don't expect anything in return. Not even a thank you--because that's not why I'm giving it away.

To DEMAND that people give something (anything) away out of the goodness of their hearts--and berate and insult them when they don't--is just ridiculous. Don't you understand how selfish and ignorant this sense of entitlement is?

If someone were to make jewelry in their basement, or sew handbags, or paint oil landscapes, or write novels... would you expect them to give it all away without compensation?

If you see something in a store that you absolutely love, do you get all pissed off because you don't want to pay for it? Maybe it's too expensive for you. Fine, if you love it enough, you'll save up for it. If you don't love it THAT much, it's okay. Move on, find something else.

I love pay sites. I subscribe to pay sites regularly, and will continue to, simply because I know how much time, effort, and talent goes into creating truly good custom content for this game, and I feel like the creators DESERVE something for it. I don't care if they just pay for bandwidth, or if they make a profit. As a matter of fact, I hope they DO make a profit! If I love their stuff enough to drop $5 on it, and that helps them upgrade their computer or go out to dinner, I'm glad for them. Obviously I felt it was worth it--more worth it than a Big Mac meal at McDonalds--or I wouldn't have paid. And if it is worth it, I hope they enjoy the HELL out of my $5.

I understand being unwilling to pay money for Sims downloads if they aren't to your liking, if you feel like they aren't worth the money, or if you simply wouldn't dream of spending a dime on pixels. But to call creators selfish simply for not giving all of their hard work away is reprehensible, and truly selfish.

EDIT: Oh, and by the way. I'm glad you all appreciated my realistic skintones that were posted at the top of the thread. However, if I find anyone redistributing those files without my consent... Hell. Hath. No. Fury.
Just don't do it, okay?

Not to be rude, but I think that's all crap.

I do pay for an host, I do pay for softwares, I do spend time on my creation.
A site is not to me only a "click click click". I know how many time and effort take to keep up a site.

That doesn't mean I force other people to spend money for something I do for hobby.

Want to earn with The Sims 2? Go to Maxis seat and ask to employe.

When you open a site you know what you have in front of you. You know you'll have to pay money and spend some time.
Don't want to? Don't open the site. It's not obligatory.

You have problem with costs? Donation are ok.
But if you ask for mothly donation and you'll left no one download from you site w/o donation, it's not "donate". It's PAY.

What annoys me the most, is that there is people willing to pay for ts2 contents.. when many honest people share them for free.

You want to keep you site pay? I can't forbid you to. But please, be honest.
Stop all this "oh poor me I can't cover the bandiwth, you must help me". Say honestly "I want to earn by this hobby and you fool have to pay me".

As far as I know, no pay site has ever mugged someone and forcibly removed money from their wallet.

Who are you to dictate what should be treated as a hobby and what should not?

I will be perfectly honest and tell you that the subscriptions that I receive to my site more than pay for my bandwidth. But you don't have to pay me a dime! If you don't feel my work is worth it, I'm okay with that. I don't expect or demand a single thing from you. I'm just asking you to reciprocate.

What I mean with "force to pay" is that if people want to download from your site must pay. It's not optional.
You pay > you download.
You don't pay > You can leave here now.

I don't personally like pay-per-download sites, for many reasons.
For example, if I even want to pay, but I don't have a credit card/pay pal account, I'm left out, etc.

I don't ask you to do nothing.. you'r free to do what you want. Simply I'm not paying for downloading from you, that's all.

Same here I really don't care for pay sites! Why would I want to pay when I could download stuff for free.

Can someone PLEASE stop all of this arguing and get back on topic!!! This thread was started to find some realistic skins for sims, not start a debate over pay sites! If you're all gonna continue to argue at least do it on your own thread or PM each other about it!

YES THAT'S TRUE! let's stop with this commercial stuff!
Anyway, I wanted to ask if there's a way to change the skine of a sim that has already been created. As sims get a skin tone when they born, to use these new skins I should just create new families... Hope there's a way to change skins.

*Sorry guys. I think I'll move my posts and start a new thread- we can argue about paysites over there*

Realistic skins are nice, but I feel like a lot of them look really wrong in the game.
