This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default too many iterations error?

I have never seen this error, I tried searching for Iteration as a keyword with no luck. Clicking Reset or Cancel are non-responsive and Delete is a bit radical for my sim.
I had a similar error almost simultaneous when Miranda attemted to converse with Marco, an error saying she was trying to talk to a non-person...weird.
What is causing this error and can Miranda be saved?
Thanks for any input.

Try playing without the boolProp code and see how that will go.

That error means that either your sim or the object she is interacting with is stuck in a loop without a chance to idle. Is the object a custom one, or was she doing something that could be using a hack? If so, you need to tell the person who created it.

If it's just a normal object, then you should find that turning off testingcheats should make them go away.

Ok, I think I did have the boolProp enabled. Also the sim is custom, so perhaps that's it. I will try loading the lot again and see what happens.
thanks and Merry Christmas

well, that problem seems to have been replaced by my Sims acting erractically. They'll sit in a chair, then suddenly be standing behind the chair, this is a new wrinkle. Never a dull moment with those simmies. :mdance:

I have a very similar problem... I've tried it all. Boolprop, true, false; and I got the same curious message in the log file about the iterations. I tried deleting one of my favourite sims with the moveobjects... very risky for me, as I never had used it before.
It happened to me before, and that's why I ended up reinstalling my game when I never ever had to. But some of my sims couldn't talk (even though they could gossip) to other sims, and even they jumped back whwn they tried phoning them, or watching tv with them, and eating at the same table... also playing chess!! Really annoying. I'm pretty sure that when I reinstalled the game, at the beginning, this problem had disappeared... but it started again.
I still don't know what to do, but if I can't find a way to solve this (and yes, I cleaned up my downloads folder with clean Installer, but I only had these hacks: novelwriting progress bar, ultragnome, flamingo of doom and gravematters) I'll remove the whole content of my downloads folder (and that's an enormous lost for me!!), reinstall the game and start again.
But I would also like to know what's making a mess like this with my game, uf.
If I cand find a way to avoid this disaster, I'll tell you. I'll keep on trying...
Happy New Year anyway.

DavidTalbot, did you patch your game? A lot of what you are discribing sounds like the famous "jumpbug", and that is fixed in the patch which is available on the ea site.
