Default says i need a software update, my game is up to date.
as the title says, whenever i try to download a residential lot from ONLY at mts, it says it requires a "software update".

anywho, when i click on "game updates" it says my game is up to date. i have refreshed it many times.

when i download lots from other sites (i got some from Parsimonious) it downloaded just fine?

totally confused.

What is your gameversion? Game_Help:TS3_Patching_Find_Gameversionwiki

Copy and paste the first line of the skuversion.txt from the following locations, for whichever games you have:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 <EP or SP name>\Game\Bin

Quote:
BG: GameVersion =
WA: GameVersion =
HEL: GameVersion =
AMB: GameVersion =
FL: GameVersion =

I have attached an image of the all the patches to date, showing your patch levels and the current patch levels, you are clearly not up to date. To update each of your games see the Game Help:TS3 Patching:Patch Download/Currentwiki Guide.

  • Sims 3 - EADM Issues
If you encounter issues while downloading Store/Exchange items or when trying to patch or Launcher won't even start, then maybe the issues is not the Launcher but EADM. Please try the suggestions on this FAQ article:

If Launcher is telling you the game is updated when it is not, then the connection from Launcher to EADM to thesims3.com site is broken. You need to update EADM, then. Especially if you have Store/Exchange Sims3Packs to install.

You can bypass using Launcher to update by downloading the individual patch files for the games. Just download them to desktop and double-click it, that's it. And you need separate files for each game.

I like to download the .exe(s) and store them in my external drive, just for those times when the EA site is down or something...and I just needed to reinstall my games at that very moment.
