do you have the visitor controller? maybe thats why? try boolProp TestingCheatsEnabled true and shift click the mailbox and do force burglar.

@ RedCrownX you got robbed the first time because you had an expensive TV, if your sims have expensive items in their house like pictures, furniture, Computer, Pedestal Statue, etc. The burglar will show up sooner or later to rob the sims of their valuables, the burglar is smart he will not rob you too much if the sims items is not worth much, but sometime it depend on how hard up the robber is then he do not care if it is worth much or not. Even if you lock the door the burglar is like Superman he can still get in.

Tip: If you hate the alarm waking up your Sims, if they have a car, install an alarm. The car alarm will go off, alert the cops, and not wake up your Sims.

can someone tell me without having to go to the fucking mailbox, pressing SHIFT rclk and getting fucking insane and get peacefully robbed because everytime i try to even spawn one, a sim has to go to the mailbox! and that is sad.

I think no one made a hack, because mailbox version was enough for everyone. I have another method though:

1. Promise yourself that you will not use the cheats today/ with that family.
2. Motherlode is just 13 keyboard taps away, but you convince yourself it will be more fun getting this ******s through moments of poverty, heavy educating after hard day's work, befriending for career some boring random townies resembling lovechildren of some mutated fish and that guy from Aerosmith, so you can earn few k.
3. Let them make children.
4. With these pathetic money you have, rebuild the house so there is space for kiddies and only absolutely necessary furniture/appliances.
5. Forget about phone and alarm.

Random Number God will spawn a burglar with 100% probability.



And seriously, I heard having neighbours in Criminal carrier makes probability of being robbed bigger.

I think I read somewhere the probability is higher if the entire family is in bed before midnight or 11ish. Don't hold me to that though :P

I heard you want burglars to kill them... No way, it would make your game explode. Go to CAS, press shift-n, it unlocks burglar's costume and cap, make 8 guys, call each one Burglar, wait until one pass by, kill him, enjoy.

Without the boolprop cheat, there is no way to force a burglar to rob your sims' house. Buy alot of expensive items and hope that one night a burglar shows up. I've never had anyone rob Sims' house either except from in the Caliente household. Hopefully this answer was a tad more helpful..

Oh also, if you get the magic lamp from the gypsy woman, you can wish for fortune - and you'll get a lot of money and highly increased chances of being robbed. I was robbed immediately the next day.
