This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default The Sims 2 Graphical Issue - Walls Disappear
Here are my system specifications:

Windows Vista
AMD Athlon 7550 Dual-core processor 2.5 GHz
3070 MB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4550

I am having graphical issues on the Sims 2 on my computer. When in build mode, the walls disappear every time I add a window or door. If I rotate the screen, then the walls come back for a moment. They do disappear again. This problem gets gradually worse and worse and the game becomes unplayable. Does anyone know what's going on?

Try turning antialiasing (smooth edges) right down.

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

Thanks so much!

Actually, what I did was swap out an old graphics card from my old computer and use that one instead. It completely took care of the problem. The problem was actually the graphics card itself.

Well, either ay I'm glad it's working. Do make sure your power supply is strong enough to run that "new" card.
