This user has the following games installed:
Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
Laundry items missing
It's been awhile since I played Sims 3 but I was in the mood so I opened the launcher. There was a new update 6.1 to 6.2.4 blah blah. did the usual backing up, saving, delete cache etc and updated the game successfully. YAY!... NOT! when my game loaded I got an 'missing objects replaced' message. Couldn't figure out what was missing everything seemed to be there until I decided to do laundry. Instead of the washer and dryer I had a fridge and a stove with a wonky door! WTF!
I went into buy mode to laundry and all that is in the laundry section is a black ball that thinks its a clothes line! No washing machine or dryer anywhere. Has anyone else encountered this?
I checked 2 other games and same thing fridge and stove in place of laundry! Did a Mod site and wiki search as well as a google search and found nada. would appreciate and pointers or advice. Thanks

I probably should of specified that I first ran the game clean with NO custom content or hacks. Got that message and the missing laundry items from the start. I had already followed step by step all the instructions on:
Game Help:TS3 Patching
Game Help:TS3 Patching:Before You Begin
Game Help:TS3 Patching:Patch Download via Launcher
Game Help:TS3 Patching:Once Installed
Game Help:Sims 3 Delete Cache Files
Then I added a few safe mods at a time and tried again and again and again. I was thinking that once all the content had been re-added the missing bits might show up. I did not add any hacks or iffy mods only my safe mods (patterns, make up, a few hairs) Always the laundry stayed screwed up. So I followed each and every step in Game Help:Sims 3 Game Problem before I posted on this forum.
I wanted to know if anyone else had encountered this and if it was patch related. Or do I have to uninstall and re install.

So what about the rest of that FAQ? New user files, and so on?
