Request for 'Limit FPS' help.
Can anyone help with this, I've searched the FAQ's and the forum for this but I'm not seeing anything, searching the forums sections for "fps" results in no hits but I'm guessing like many forums 3 characters doesn't cut it so...

I've got all expansions and packs, some of the free store content (but none of the gougeware) and a small quantity of mods, about two dozen free hair styles from various authors, five or six patterns, overwatch, debug enabler, "better" skin.

It's all fully patched not including either pets or the pets patch as I simply don't trust EA to get it right until overwhelming evidence from everyone and their dog that it won't break everything as to date I've not had much success with either "new" packs, expansions or patches at the time they are released.

Initially I tried forcing v-sync and matching my refresh in game, it didn't work, massive screen tearing, juddering and the placebo of burning plastic smell when I hear my video card fan going ape.

I've tried the combo method of "3 booter" + "fpslimit" and also the "FPS_Limiter_GUI.jar" variation.

In game using the command "fps on" I'm still going all over the shop anywhere from 20-600 fps depending on settings and scene with any and all methods tried.

I followed all instructions to the letter and there were no errors etc, it launched and loaded as expected using both methods.

In a word... Help

I doubt you need these for this particular question but as the "don't post unless" pre-screen asks...

CPU - AMD Phenom II 955 Black @ Stock 3.2
RAM - 8192 MB of RAM
VID - ATI Radeon HD 5970 (XFX Branded Black Edition)
O/S - Windows U64

Ok, so after trying multiple things I got so tired of it I alt tabbed to look in task manager...

Seems at some point they stopped using the new exp and stuff exe files and instead its "TS3W.exe" in the base game directory...

Its working now but figured I should post back in case anyone else is having the issue.

That same "don't post unless..." post also states that if you're looking for content, this is not the place, but to head on over to WCIF. And you can't find it here because it is not hosted here. http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/s...ic,15585.0.html
So the thread is just to look for the FPS limiter, yes?

Then, I'll consider the thread answered and lock it. For future reference, remember WCIF (it is under the Help menu, and also linked in the Announcement that you made reference to) is where you post to seek help in locating content.
