Default DCBackup

I just had a question about one of the folders in the Sims 3 directory. So I investigated what may be the cause of my recent crashes and I noticed that in the DCBackup folder there are literally over 1000 files all of which take up around 2.5gb of space. I'm wondering what this is storing and could all of those files cause issues, because that's a LOT of files?

This site: http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/t...lp/slowgame.php

Says that DCBackup is a backup file for your custom content and it's fine to clear out the files. You may want to try moving them to another folder first just to make sure it doesn't mess up your game.

Edit: From reading the comments, it might be a good idea to remove everything except the ccmerged.package

I did find that my game was running kind of slow. I deleted all those files and hopefully my game will run a little better.

Those files are only there so that when you package up a lot or sim any CC used will be included, sans store stuff of course.
