Default Alternate resort styles and other questions
Hi all!

1. I'd like to create different types of "resorts" that can still be functional and obtain 5 star ratings. This would include:
Hotels: this is the typical hotel or motel you might stay at on a business trip or when you would prefer to find relaxation in the greater world while on vacation. Something like a super 8, motel 6 or even something nice like 4 seasons or Radisson. Amenities would by limited to a bar/restaurant using the bistro premium store content (no buffets except maybe for "continental" breakfast), maybe a pool and maybe a gym but would also include kitchenettes in the rooms (no stove just coffee maker, microwave and minifridge)
Hotel/casino: same as above but obviously with a casino at ground level using the lucky simoleon store content. This type may also include a show stage....
Chateau/ski resort: is there any thing that enables skiing?
Bed and breakfast: basically just a Sim renting out rooms of his house to NPCs and other player Sims.
Etc: you tell me.
Of these things, what do we know to be possible or impossible and what is untested or unknown? Oh yeah and could I put gift shops in any of these using the midnight hollow ofb stuff?

2. How many VIP locks are available per resort lot? I read 7 somewhere, is that right? Does that mean it's pointless creating more than 7 VIP rooms?

3. Is there any way to create different classes of VIP suites? Like regular VIP suites and then an extra special one (honeymoon, presidential, penthouse, etc)?

4. Is it possible to reserve a suite for the resort owner either to check into our live in permanently? The latter i suppose is the b&b question on a larger scale lol.

5. Is it possible for a traveling player Sim to be unable to check into a resort due to it being fully booked or is there a failsafe against that or a way to keep a room reserved for any active Sim I may want to have check in?

6. I read that you can't put resorts in WA worlds. Is that true?

7. Building from question 6, is there any way to combine a base camp and resort? And if not, and if I did manage to put a resort in a vacation world, and my Sim checked into it, will he have to return to the base camp to check for adventures, or can an adventure board be added to resorts?

I know some of this may be possible with mods but since I don't know that for sure I don't think the wcif threads are appropriate for these questions but I'll leave the admins to decide that and I apologize if I am incorrect. But for the record, i have nothing against mods and will use them if necessary to achieve any of these things. Any info is appreciated. Thank you!

My best advice would be to test it yourself, it's getting so complicated these days, the options are just endless. Finding the right people may not be that easy.

From my experience nothing in need of attending npc's will work on a campsite, you should try yourself though. It can change from patch to patch.

Actually, the reason I'm asking rather than trying it myself is because, like you said, there is so much to test and I'm far too busy testing OTHER things right now. I was just hoping there were people out there who already had some of the info I'm seeking.

Thank you, this is helpful. At this point, I'm thinking of building something like an airport as the base camp with little like, idk, sleeping pods, like they have in Japanese airports, or just a very small hotel like building. That way I can just check my sim into a hotel on arrival and have a realistic travel experience, but NPC explorers will still have a place to sleep.

Ideas, thoughts, opinions?
