This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Sims 2 launcher "encountered a problem and needs to close"
Hey,

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but when i click on M&G stuff in my start menu to launch sims (well, the launcher) it pops up quickly then says it's encountered a problem. in that space under the "play" button, there is something new there, perhaps about sims 4 - previously there was nothing, after the sims 2 website got removed. It is possible for me to continue playing my game if I'm incredibly quick in clicking play before it crashes but just wanted to know if anyone else has been affected by this change, and if so what to do!

Thank you.

Some people are like slinkies. Useless, but awesome fun to push down the stairs.

So theres a sims 3. So What? I'm happy with sims2.

Since the launcher doesn't do anything useful, the usual solution to Launcher problems is to bypass it: Game Help:Bypassing Launcherwiki.

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

This is the second time EA has done this. I hope they fix it again...

Eh. I've been playing without the launcher ever since I first got Bon Voyage, and I don't miss it. The only way I ever know that EA have broken it is through forum posts.

I'll look into bypassing it then, thank you One more question - what goes M&G go under? Since it's marketed as a stuff pack but it acts like an expansion (like BV is EP6 and FT is EP7 for example).

I think M&G is EP9.

It's SP9, I do believe, since M&G is a stuff pack.

No. It's EP9. M&G may pretend to be a stuff pack, but it's actually an EP and was named by EA as an EP.
