HELP with display pedestals in the sims 3 into the future.

Hello everyone! I just wanna ask help from you. I can't see all the mannequins from Into the future pedestals both using the cube and cylindrical pedestals. When you buy them from buy mode, the mannequins just immediately disappear upon switching to live mode.

Do I need to patch from 1.63 to 1.67 to fix this? Or, does my sim need to be at least on a certain level of technology skill in order to buy from those pedestals?

Any solution please?
