This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Graphics Rules Maker issue. (SOLVED)
I went ahead and download the program. Read the instructions, install then followed it but..
At number 6, I click yes..and now I get this :

Is there a way to revert back?
Clicking on Defaults setting does not revert to before i add my card to the thing...
Now, I can't play at all.

Try following this thread at Leefish.nl http://www.leefish.nl/mybb/showthread.php?tid=5446

Want a specific style of house or community building? Why not take a look at my profile and see what I build and then come ask me to make it!

Thank you but,
"First make sure that your game was the last application fired up."
I cannot start the game.

I already tried this, before i downloaded the program, and it did not improved whatever, just made it worst.
How could this help me now?

I have to switch back to no.
My chipset thingny, being added to database screwed everything.

Okay...it works. My gawd i was scared.
Since i already tried this before, i still had my original .sgr files on my desktop.
Put them back, overwiting the new shEt and all is well now.
Just have to remember to never run that thing again.

You must have selected something wrong in the Leefish Graphics Rules Maker app. There are a number of easily overlooked selections that are actually very important. This app does not break your game unless you give it the wrong information about your card, just like you can manually edit the graphics rules file and break your game by entering wrong information.

Problem is Rhiamom, or seems to be, that my chip was not to be added to the thing. By adding it, i ruined it. the program itself is fine. There was not a gazillion things to overlook. I only check yes when it asked me if I wanted to add my card. I didn't even have to select the card myself. This program must work perfectly for real graphic cards. Not for integrated chips like I have.

I had a similar message with my card and the Graphics Rules Maker, and I have a dedicated card. I can only guess that the GRM does not work with certain cards or configurations; at least not easily. I simply put one of my old files back in my game (replacing the changed file), and the game worked fine.

A valuable point here... do NOT forget to save the old files on your own, just in case there's a problem and you have to change the coding manually. Better to have two copies of the original than none. Good thing Rosebine had a backup!

Thanks to ALL free-site creators, admins and mods.

RIP Sunni ... truly a ray of light.

Read this post http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...:Graphics_Cards and notice:
"Also, try deleting My documents/ EA Games/ The Sims2/ Config/ userprops.xml. This contains details about your previous graphics settings and will be refreshed by the game when you next run it"

Sometimes deleting userprops.xml helps to solve DirectX-problems.
