TOO WEIRD! For the past day, I have been getting these msgs:

An error occurred in object N00122_Kendall-365 Hit break point primitive stack trace is saved.

It had been happening specifically with Nannies, but then it started happening with one of my Sims. I noticed it with the Sim when he was potty training. Can't be sure what was going on when it happened with the Nanny.

I have searched and searched for issues like this and I have found one thing where it was referring to an InSIMenator install (I don't have that) and another that went unacknowledged.

I have Inteenimator (did I spell that right?), but I had that before this started, as well.

I have downloaded a few careers, too, but the household had NO careers being used so I don't know if that would make any difference.

Then I thought it was the lot. I moved the family OUT of the lot and into a new one.

STILL getting the same msg. UGH!!!! What gives????

Please help!

Just having careers installed (even if you're not using them in that family) can cause problems. Normally, it's lots not loading, but it might cause what you're describing. It's not a problem I've encountered before, and someone who can shed some light on that particular error message might have a better, more specific idea, but this can't hurt:

Give your downloads a scan with Clean Installer. If you've downloaded any lots that haven't been cleaned with it, you could have hacks you don't know about that are causing problems. Make sure you disable all hacks and custom careers. If you're still having problems, try moving your Downloads folder to your desktop and loading up the game (don't save anything in the game like this, it's just to test). Let's make sure it's not a piece of custom content causing your problems first.

are you playing the game with the boolprop testing cheats enabled cheat?

I will try and take the careers out. I haven't tried on any other lot and I haven't seen it yet today. Weird.

I do not use the boolprop testing...I've heard of it, but am not familiar with it.

You might want to check your startup file. Its My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Config\userStartup.cheat. Do you see numbers on the top right of the screen when you play?

I do see numbers in the corner. It is a version number or something.

follow what jaxad said
if you have got that file right click open, you'll get a popup and click select programme from list. choose notepad & look for a line that says:

boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true

the cheat Specifies if debug options are enabled for objects.

delete that line and you shouldnt get those messages agin. unless you type it in to the control panal.

OMG! It was there! I took it out and hopefully that will take care of it.

Would that be also why when I place objects they seem to go ANYWHERE I want them other than centered on tiles?? I mean, it just seems like everything is sooo smooth now and I can place picture centered where I want them no matter how big they are. It is weird. Kinda nice, but at the same time, placing doors SUCK because it is telling me they need to be on a centered tile, which I can never seem to get.

if you have also got other cheats in that file like moveobjects on or snapobjects to grid they could cause similar things to what you describe
try this link for a list of cheats and what they do.

You seem to have downloaded something that puts cheats automatically in the file Jaxad pointed you to. Make sure you take all the cheats out of that file.

Yep! There were other things in there and there was only ONE that I really wanted. Hm. Interesting.

Thanks! Now off to see if it has worked wonders:)

I wonder, do you have SeeThem2 installed? That will add these lines to your startup file unless you tell it not to. It adds snapobjects false by defualt.

Actually...I do! I took all of those things out of that file.

Thanks again for everyone's help!
