I know your gonna tell me this has been answered, and im sorry if you do, but all i found was help if it was crsahing in buy/build mode. My game crashes in live mode.
It happens only on a lot & at random times. Once it crashed almost as soon as i started playing a family, and another time after i had been playing for hours.
Can someone please help me? Its not fun playing sims wondering when your game will crash next :(

What happens when it crashes. Does it go to your desktop, completely reboot, BSOD?

Are you getting any error message?
Have you updated your graphic/video card driver?
Have you used disk clean up and disk defragmenter lately?
Just a few things......

yeah, i know what youre talking about. my game has done that a couple of times to me too. i noticed it was doing it to me when i was using huge global mods or severly hacked objects, and sometimes it just does it on its own. it lessened when i deleted some of my custom content tho

First, start my moving the Downloads folder to your desktop. If you don't want to worry about screwing up one of your families, create a family just to test the game with. Also, please take a look at this (http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?t=139718) FAQ.
