Sorting of Wallpaper and Flooring

If this has been addressed in the past, please point me in the right direction but...

I've noticed, in my game, that wallpaper and flooring is not sorted in any manner. In Sims 1, it was by cost but with my version of the Sims 2, I can't figure out how they are sorted or how to change it. I'd rather they be sorted by cost, just to make it easier to decorate my inexpensive houses. Any ideas on how to change this?

I believe they are sorted in alphabetical name order- try renaming some of your wallpapers and seeing what happens.
