Forgive me if this has been asked before...if it has could you provide a link to the discussion?

I would like to make a square dining table that the Sims will use. But when I clone the EA square dining table it has no texture because it is a slave of the little square table.

What is the best way to go about making my own square table? Should I clone the little one, make a little table first, and then attach my bigger one as a slave? If so, how is that done?

Or should I just add a texture to my square table and disengage it somehow from being a slave to the EA little table? If so how is that done?

Help!

Thanks for any advice :)

Try selecting the "stand-alone" option when cloning, that should pull the texture into the package, as well, when it's a slave object. Alternatively, if you want to use a base game table (because there is no 2x2 table in the base game to clone) you can clone a smaller table and add the missing tiles. There are tutorials for extending the footprint and adding working tiles in the Modding Discussion section under Tutorials for General Modding. The Nightlife dining table is an easier solution, though.

Thanks again ...I think I'm going to try cloning the Nightlife square table as a standalone. Is there anything special I have to do besides tick off the standalone box?

Maxis Lost & Found Object in this thread (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=97413). He has it listed as base game compatible.

Maybe you could try this table as a clone. I just created a full 4-tile wide window from the base game "Function of Glass" window which is only 1-tile. It is base game compatible, too.

Good Luck,
