My Game Won't Load

I have the sims 2 and all of the expansion packs, (including OFB which will not load again)
My game was running fine ever since it was first released. Then I installed Seasons..........
it now refuses to load. At first it ran smoothly then it just would not load, I had some custom clothing content so I removed all of this, and uninstalled the games. Re-installed whereupon OFB refused to be installed. So I installed everything else, my game ran fine for approx four cold starts, then refused to start at all I get the seasons logo on the screen then nothing else. I am then forced to create a bogus user on my computer to enable me to play again, for approx four cold starts. Then it refuses to load again.
Can someone help me please?! :help:

First, regarding reinstalling OFB. Did you try a clean install? This faq (http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Uninstall) will show you how to do that.

As for the game not starting. Have you tried deleting the game-generated files? This faq (http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Delete_Cache_Files) has instructions on deleting those files.
