Installing The Package File Problems

...Hi. I've read the FAQ's and the dowloading for fracking idiots etc., but I'm really having trouble. SIMS2PACK were easy to install, and I'm pretty sure they're on my game. Those were the pre-made people that I downloaded. I downloaded clothing, makeup etc. onto my download file and I see they are there. The PACKAGE files. I double clicked them and it said I had to chose another thing to open it on and not the Sims 2 Bodyshop. I don't have much to use on this computer since it's fairly new. If you need to know, I have Windows Vista and the man said when I bought the sims 2 all attachments and it would work with vista etc. Now I'm confused..how do I use the package file and put it on my game? If you got all that, could you please tell me what other programs will open it and install it? I'd really, really appreciate it. =)

You do not double click package files. You put them in your Downloads folder. See the "Downloading for Dummies" FAQ (linked under the main Game Help heading) for full instructions on installing custom content.

I know, the packages are in the downloads folder. I went there and they appeared there. But how do I put them in the game like I did with the sims2pack files?

Putting them in the Downloads folder puts them in the game. That's all you have to do.
