View Full Version : What's the best way to change the clothes of your Townies/Downtownies/Sims etc?

I feel like I've tried everything...

I'm glad I can change the face and makeup of a non-playable sim with the clothing rack, but I can't change thier clothes! I've invited them to a lot with a Sim on it that had bought every item of clothing in the game, and had them even buy clothes while on my lot, and still nothing shows up in the "Plan Outfit" option (if they even have that option. Some don't!)

Is there a program, or a mod that allows me to view the clothes on a selected sim, then change the clothes? Like an ingame body shop or something?

I'll just be over here, at Whit's End. :o

Thanks!

Are you are using the 'suggest outfit' that came with OFB ? If it's not working correctly, patch Pets and Seasons. Pet's broke the interaction.

How do I do that? Is it an item? Do I click on another sim on my lot, or on a buisness lot?

On an owned business lot, place the clothing rack ( it's under shopping>misc, I believe) and set it for sale. Lure your unsuspecting townie over to your business and suggest> try on outfit. You can change their attire that way. No more mismatched plaids and stripes. Although, I do have a soft spot in my heart for Goopy. :)

Can I do it on a homeowned lot?

I don't really have a sim (ok, I have one family) that's set up to be in a place where they can buy or run a buisness lot.

Yes, you can have a home business and should be able to buy the rack and set the price. You'll have to set up the business, but you can sell just about anything on a home lot. :) I haven't tried clothing yet. I've found that tacky lighting fixtures really get the shoppers juices flowing. LOL Whoda thunkit?

I'll give that a shot, thanks. :)
