A search has only pulled up an unanswered thread. I purchased OFB from an internet site and received an Asia-Pacific version. It seems that all computer requirement are the same as the NA version. Yet, I have not opened the box because I noticed that it is not to be sold in the United States ( I don't want EULA or someone coming after me), so I have not installed it. Will this version work on my computer?
The return processes for this company is insane, so it would nice to keep this version if it works. Thanks for the help.

Good to hear you actually read the announcement on the box.
Yes it is illegal to sell the asia (Thai me thinks?) version outside of that specific country. You can install it, but you need to change the game language before installing. If that company is any good (if you can say that from thieves) it should have included a piece of paper telling you how to do it.

Thanks angel. Unfortunately, the company didn't include anything except a packing slip. Perhaps being in Thai will help shed some light on the mysterious language of the sims.
