I run Sims on a Mac, and have always been kind of miffed about Homecrafter's Windows-exclusivity. I recently rescued an old PC that's been sitting in a closet, forgotten, and use it to run programs like SimPE and Clean Installer that aren't available for Mac.
I'd like to run Homecrafter on it, but I don't want to go out and buy the Windows versions of all the expansions and stuff packs I have to set up a mirror installation just so I can do that (actually playing Sims on that computer isn't an option, at least not unless I want to upgrade the RAM significantly).
So my question is: is it possible to fake an installation enough to use Homecrafter, by copying game data from this computer onto that one? And if so, which folders/files would I need? Or is the game data different for Mac and Windows versions, so even if I duplicated all the right folders Homecrafter would be confused?
Thanks for your help :)
