I have started creating clothes and I think I may have ran into a problem. I used one of the maxis original meshes but the problem is that the shoes are sandals. Is there a way to fix it to were the shoes can be sneakers instead? Thanks! :)

Yep, You can just edit the Alpha and it will change to shoes. But it depends on the mesh you are using. Can you post some pictures?

Editing the alpha may not be enough if there isn't already a nice shoe texture there. There's a lot of detail that goes into shoes. There's the soles, the shadows and highlights of the main shoe, the laces or zippers or buckles, the shadow at the ankle where the shoe ends, etc.

If the mesh has feet that could be colored naked (no ridges or shoe bumps), then you can put all kinds of shoes on those feet. However, you usually can't just cut the shoes from one texture and paste them onto another if their meshes have different feet. So you may have to manually redraw and adjust the sneaker texture to make it fit. I've had to do this quite a bit. You'll want the UV map and MilkShape for previewing if you're going to do that.
