Enlarging the "Change Appearance"

I've changed my graphics card month ago and have been using the 1440x900 resolution since. I'm quiet satisfied with this wider resolution except that I can barely see the changes when I apply new makeup to my sims in the mirror.
Is there any way to enlarge the "Change Appearance" window with current resolution? HELP!

Not that i know of.

Try switching on Use Square Pixels in options - as I remember it, it doesn't fix the issue entirely, but it may help.
