Help Regarding University

I had a problem regarding installing University expansion and I posted it here and someone PMed me saying that perhaps my custom content wasnt enabled. My problem was that after I installed sims and I went to open my family it would not load. The cursor timer would just keep turning and not load my game. So I went to http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?t=192907 to read up about custom content not being enabled etc. Then I went here http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=197511 and I clicked on my family I had before I installed University to see if it would load and nothing. I am out of options and I am getting really fed up with this so again..I am open to any SUGGESTIONS.

If you think the problem may be related to custom content, have you tried taking out all your downloads and seeing if it will load without them?

I have thought about that idea but have not done it. I think I might. Do you think it will be a good idea?

Yeah, I would definitely recommend it - it seems to be the solution to almost any problem I have with the Sims. If your game works when you take out all the downloads, use this guide to find the problem file: http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?t=139702
