Finished final semester, new bar???

Hi Everyone,
I'm just a bit confused and wondered if anyone could help. When a sim finishes their final semester, and has graduated why does a new bar appear where their education / career info normally is? I have tried to fill this bar by doing everything i can think of but nothing seems to make it go up. WHat is it for? Thanks!!

Probably because it was easier to have a useless bar for the three final days of college than to try writing a whole new sub-routine for them. At least I never noticed it having any effect either.

I thought it was to show how long the sim had before they had to leave the campus - I'm probably thinking of a totally different bar though - it's a while since I played Uni.

I thought they were talking about the bar which usually shows your GPA. You have one for the last 3 days too, but there is nothing to do with it.

One bar says your sim graduated and has 72 hrs to leave campus. That 1 can only get filled by the time moving. If thats the bar you mean. Just throw a grad party and finish what you got to do and get that sim outta there. I try to Get out of Uni as fast as i can :)

That bar is where the age duration usually is. If you open the skills tab where the college performance is in University and the career performance is when you have a job, there is a bar there even when you are ready to graduate. It doesn't do anything.

I also just discovered that if you don't make a habit of constantly tutoring for money, being a personal trainer, working in the cafeteria, or otherwise scrounging money when you really don't need to, then you don't always get the bar.
