View Full Version : Uninstalling Seasons

I've had to uninstall Seasons, since my stupid integrated video card can't handle it, leaving everyone with block hands (yes, everything was amped up).
But when I went to put my back up in, there's no EA games folder anymore. Do I just make a new one? All my other EPs/Stuff Packs are still installed.

You won't be able to play the game now unless you backed everything up prior to installing seasons.
Installing a new expansion pack changes the data of the files and if you uninstall it, it makes the game unplayable unless you have a backup to restore.
If not you're likely going to have to uninstall and reinstall everything.
As per the sticky that's been up since last week: http://forums.sims2community.com/showthread.php?t=35489

I did back up first - always do :D But I'll check out the sticky. Thanks!
EDIT: The sticky didn't answer my question tho. I've got the back up from pre-Seasons install, but where do I put it? There's no EA Games folder anymore. Do I just make one in My Documents, then put the Sims 2 folder (the back up) in there?

Have you ran the game yet? When you do, it should generate a new EAgames>Sims2 folder. Then just copy and paste away!

Hey Beanie Baby ... sorry that you had the blocky hands thing and that your card doesn't work with Seasons. :( What are you going to do now?
