I didn't see a thread like this(sorry if i missed it), and this is NOT a request thread, its just an idea thread. Funny Hacks, Game help/content hacks. Things you think would make the game more interesting and fun :)

I was thinking that when parent sims are doing the 'deed' and sim kids walk in, they should have a bad reaction (motives go down a bit) and a bad memory of it :) I think that would be so awesome!

But really, I want more devastation in my Sims game. Also, claws would be nice. 99.9% of my sims are furres, even though I'm not totally into that scene. I have claws for them which are very nice, but they don't move with the hands sometimes. Tails would be nice, too, so I wouldn't have to download one for every furry skintone and clutter up the glasses section. Well, those weren't really hacks as much as they were "extra options", but...

An injury/blood hack would be good, where sims could be violent against one another. Addiction hacks...and perhaps a hack where you could have the lights turn on automatically in twilight as in nighttime, because I can never see my sims well in that light.

I must sound like a horrible person! I'm actually pretty nice once I get to know you...

No jealousy hacks, and no relationship requirements for woohoo hacks of many different kinds, have been around as long as there have been mods. They don't need to be on a wishlist because they already exist. Hacks to allow fighting without working to get a low relationship also exist.

Lizzies waterbed of love from MTS2. Open a home business and add some poker tables etc and charge entry. It will cause some very interesting waves among your married sims when they catch each other out. :einstein

Ok, onto the rest of the post. I too, would love a hack that allows Sims to sit down whilst holding a baby. It boggles my mind that it's not in the game already.

The other thing I would love is a hack to automatically form a casual group for dining without having to go through the pie menus and ask each Sim individually. It's such a massive pain and a huge time-waster when you have large groups of Sims. I have such long loading times that my Sims don't go on individual dates, they go out en masse. :mob

i would love a hack that would allow us to choose more people to chat with on the computer, or one that would allow us to choose specifically whom to chat with out of all available sims (like the throw massive parties hack that allows you to choose anyone/everyone in the hood). This couldve been a real help during a recent Internet lover challenge I was trying to complete!

I'd like to see a hack that lets you lock staircases as if they were doors, so that if you have a building with an open floorplan you could make the upper floors inaccessible. For example, I just built a lot where the third floor is a large master suite, and I hate when the kids hang out in the parents room, in most lots I put 2 single doors and lock them to allow only the parents, but in this lot I don't want any doors up there, I just want people to not come up there...

Is this hack already out there somewhere?

khakido, until someone makes a reservable staircase, you can get around that problem by placing the staircase behind a locked door in the first place.

Rayline, such things definitely already exist on adult TS2 sites.

Already doable and done, and not illegal to do, either. (Not sanctioned by EA/Maxis, so they won't give you tech support for your game while it has hacks in it -- period, not just for new interactions -- but it's definitely possible to create custom animations (or reassemble existing animations to look like something different, which is what was done before custom animations were figured out), and while there are limits to exactly what a new sim-to-sim or sim-to-object interaction can do, a lot of new things are possible.

Walk to lot is only available if BV is installed, but if it is, and you do not have any non-BV-compatible hacks interfering, the interaction is available when clicking on the active Sim.

Sure, but I don't think I've ever seen a hack that allowed, for example, one-sided jealousy, where one sim is jealous and the other isn't, or where a sim can be jealous without actually like/loving the other sim.

It'd also be interesting to see a real unrequited love hack, where a sim would stay in love with another sim who didn't like/love them back. I've tried to get these things to happen in my game, but without any luck.

I'd love to see a hack or something that added nightmares for children: when a child Sim has had a bad day or goes to sleep with their needs low, they have nightmares (this part is already in the game) and they go to the older relative they have the nicest relationship with and wake them up. It would be so cute if the older Sim could let them sleep in their bed or just take them back to bed and comfort them.

I'd also like to see some interaction come up where, when one Sim is crying or otherwise upset, another Sim with a high relationship can come up to them and comfort them. Kind of like the cheer up interaction I guess, but a little different.

Oh, and I'd really like it if parents could read their children stories while the children are in bed, like a bedtime story. I guess I just want more cute interactions.

I'd love to have a collection maker program work for clothes. I downloaded one that of course only worked for objects and bodyshop does not use clothing collection files, so anytime I add clothes for Rengal, Rio, or any of the other Warlokk models i need to go all the way into Sims 2 > Family Maker and then decide where the new outfits are and which clothing is already in the different size sims collections and which are not. That's the only way to quickly pull up outfits for a particular built sim and yet I can only do it in the game every time and with lots of scouring.

When a kid wakes up and their alarm goes off, I want them to wack it while they're still in bed and sleep a little bit longer!
When sims have babies, I want an ambulance to automatically park next to the house and take the mum to hospital for like a day and then she comes back with the baby!
When sim kids are naughty I want them to sit on a naughty stool with an angry look on their face and they could be drawing up a plot or something! That would be cool, but maybe in Sims 3 these will happen. I wish I could contact them...

I want a hack to choose genders! Now usually I let nature do it's thang, but sometimes for a storyline I need a certain gender baby. Sure, I could save and exit before the sim goes into labour, but it takes awfully long to get the gender you need. Especially on slower computers. So a gender hack would be so much more convenient.

I think that this would make the game play a lot easier and more fun! The more sims that there are on a lot(sims you control), the slower their wants should decay. Epically if you have a mod like the "LotFullOfSims" hack!

I know of a slower hygiene hack, but I want the game to adjust according to the # of sims. Even if one of your sims exits the lot for work or something then the decay rate should increase because you have less sims to control. And maybe some kind of master control object to set the decay rate for controlling one sim, and then the hack will adjust the rate when more sims are added on your lot under your control. That would be the best! I would love it!

Oh, I've read that, but a hack would be so much easier. ^^ The 'patient' way does not work for me, since my game is pretty slow when it comes to loading. And the cheating way is super complicated, and I don't want my baby to be an exact copy of one parent, but a mix of the two. Y'know?

Family sims making meals for their families. Basically if they have over 3 cooking skills and at least 4 nice, they make three meals a day. Breakfast (7am), Lunch (1pm) and Dinner(6pm). They make single meals if they are unmarried or live alone or no one else is home and large meals if they are married and someone is home with them.

There's always the sword and the sniper gun at MTS2. Search for "kill" in the downloads.

For the promotions - there's the no age discrimination hack in here - it will let you have adult jobs for elderly

I'm really mean to my sims sometimes. If there was a crime hack, a prostitution hack (can you make a brothel with any hacks?), anything to make my sims' lives more scandalous, that'd be good for me.

I don't know about a "crime" hack but I've created quite a few fully autonomous brothels, which are quite profitable I might add!!

Here's what you need:

Open For Business
Lizzloves Love/waterbed
Crammyboys penis & nudist hacks
Sex McNutty's Sinful Shower
Some naughty lingerie (insimadult has lots)

The first 3 are required of course to get it built and running, the other 2 are extras I like to use as well. Make sure to have food and other entertainment options available like a tv room and a hot tub, so your Sims don't leave as soon as their done getting it on. I've also found that it's important to have alot of wealthy Sims in your neighborhood because the more money they have, the longer they'll stay! Use the Insiminator's Budget Controller.

I've gotten the whole brothel thing down to a science, so if you need any help, just ask :D

Some of the stuff mentioned is already in the game. I remember in Sims 1, a lesbian teen had a major crush on this girl, yet everytime she tried to kiss her or make advances she would push her away, then run and get angry. It was quite funny. So that does happen in the game.

And recently in my Sims 2 game, Lilith/Angela (one of them) has a crush on Dirk, yet he does not feel the same way about her. She goes to kiss him, and he refuses and runs away from her.

Id like a hack that lets you copy/paste or rotate/move a selected section.
Like, say you build a house but realize it would make more sense 2 blocks to the left and 4 blocks back, just highlight the entire house and move it over similar to the way you move objects. I agree with the murder hacks, id like to be able to have my sims murder a sim they're furious with or have a "disturbed" sim kind of like grilled cheese where they get furious with sims easily. It would be funny if the dead sim's body didn't go away until the murder gets arrested. So you could have a serial murderer with tons of corpses in a basement. It would be awesome if there were a way for the murdering sim to get caught too. If you invite someone over and they happen to go into the basement they call the cops and your sim gets arrested. If they live in an apartment neighbors could hear the ruckus and call the police, or their own children or house mates could call the police. The coroner comes, takes the body and leaves a hedge stone, then the police come and you get a little text window that says "***** has been arrested for the murder of **** how do you plead? Guilty/Not-Guilty/Insanity" Sims could randomly get life in prison, just have a certain amount of days taken away from their "days left" thing or leave and come back as elders and have random prison memories.

The only "Be Greeted" interaction I know of is the one the Unsavory Charlatan uses when he's about to pick your sim's pocket. To get rid of him, use the "No More Charlatan" hack by Squinge (http://www.insimenator.org/smf/index.php/topic,92560.0.html).

I checked out that hack maven2379, but I did not see anything different with it installed. Maybe because AL has a few of the features that hack had. I tried it out in my test Sims 2 with no other mods/hacks but the only thing I noticed from it was being able to change the number of rings on the phone. I saw no other features or changes. I don't think it's really what I wanted anyway.

So I still would like to see a hack for the phonebook to sort by family members.

I did click on the sim but there were no phone/call options. The only option I saw, either on sim or phone, was to change the number of rings. I'll check again, but there wasn't any options when I first tried.

I just thought of one this morning that I would like... I would like to see a hack that allows you to choose whose last name a baby will take. For instance, Malcom is engaged to Marissa and she just gave birth to their daughter Maliyah. I think if in addition to the pop up to name the baby, there should be a question, for unmarried parents, whose last name will the baby take? So instead of it automatically being the mother's last name, you could choose to have the father's last name.

I know there are mods to allow you to change the name, but it would be cool if you could decide from the beginning which last name to take.

There are hacks for the bills to be paid automatically. I know the Insim has the option. When you choose to pay it automatically with Insim, you never even have to take the bills from the mailbox. I'm pretty sure there are others. But I use Insim and the auto bill payer from it. But even if you didn't use any hacks, one of the packs allowed you to click on the mailbox and choose pay bills. Then your sim would go get them from wherever they set it. I'm just not sure which pack that feature came with. EDIT: I found an alternate download for automatic bill pay. It is the "Automatic Bill Payer" from simwardrobe.com (http://www.simwardrobe.com/) under the home life improvement section of Sims 2 objects downloads.

I think there are also hacks to stop your sims from bringing people home from school and work. I'll edit my post if I find any.

For the vacuum (http://modthesims2.com/download.php?t=215342) and washer (http://modthesims2.com/download.php?t=135290) stuff, MTS2 has those. They may not show all the details of dirt and grime, but they do exist.

As for grocery shopping, you can do that already. Just create a store with those specifics and go shopping with your playables. It works the same way.

Not really a hack, but my primary use for Insim anymore is the multiple items you can change the appearance of the various components into. If you need a yard filled with debris and weeds for a picture, just spawn a component, change the appearance, then spawn a few dozen more copies of it.

It would be nice if someone would make an object that has the same "Props in a box" functionality without the hacks attached.

No, hacks that work on a Windows-Sims 2 game should work for a Mac too. However, they have to be compatible with the highest EP you have. Any hacks that need Freetime/Apartment Life/M&G will not work on a Mac game because those EPs have never been ported to the OS X platform.

That said, the breastfeeding hack worked fine and didn't crash my Mac Sims 2 game. However, it's so slow! I wish someone would tweak it so the baby's hunger meter fills up faster. Anyway, I took it out and went back to the bottles because of the slowness.

I just wanted to update on this. To all the people who told me that the "phone hack" from MATY would do what I wanted, that wasn't the right one. I was going through the armory, page by page at MATY checking out the various hacks and came across the "autoyak" hack. That is the one that will separate the family members from everyone else like I wanted. I've tried it out today and so far I like it. So it's the "autoyak" that has the call-friends or family option using your cell phone.

A hack to keep sims THE HELL OUT OF EACH OTHERS' BEDS.
All my sims end up sleeping in the wrong rooms every night. And don't tell me to lock my sims' doors, because 80% of the houses I play have a double bedroom in them, so I can't lock the room unless I put in two doors, which, since all my houses are either Maxis or have a layout that would make it look weird, I can't do that either. All my sims end up sleeping with their parents/whoever the hell else is sleeping with someone in the house. And the parents always end up sleeping in the kids' rooms. It's fucking hell.

Plus I'd like a hack that would stop sims from autonomously looking at decoratives.
And one that would stop them from autonomously dancing or turning on the stereo. I REALLY hate the dumb-ass Latin music they dance badly to. Even when I disable all the Latin music, they play something else dumb. I have to get rid of all the stereos in my sims' houses just for that.

And one that would stop them from freaking out whenever there's a burglar or a fire. How 'boutcha DO something about it, eh? They should rush to the phone instead of just sitting and screaming.

The reservable beds is really only useful for single beds, not doubles. The "smart beds" hack over at Simbology.com will have your sims remember their beds and actually use their beds. I think that's probably what you want mayakii.

As far as "no autonomy" hacks, you could take a look at More Awesome Than You (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?PHPSESSID=a431c6d8ee5b7f7155a9ad2c3970aefc&board=5.0) or Simbology.com. They have a lot of "no autonomy" stuff. So does MTS2.

What I really want now, is a hack that restricts certain sims to certain part of the neighborhood.

I know about the color key holder hack from simlogicial and the other one by that jeff guy-but I don't want to have to use certain doors on all my lots to achieve the affect I want. I was hoping for maybe a neighborhood hacked object, that when place in a certain way, prevented sims from even being seen in other parts of the hood. I hate subneighborhoods, so if anyone thinks this is a good idea...holler!

Hmm, someone else may have seen something like this but apart from Inge's doors and things I'm not sure you can restrict your sims. They walk where they want in the neighbourhood, as far as I know :( Someone else may have a different opinion though!

As I understand it (without having actually played around with it) TwoJeffs visitor controller does recognize Inge's colored keys and can be set up to allow/forbid sims with certain colored keys onto a lot. You would still need to give the keys out, but once that is done you can get it set up the way you want it.

If not, you could always get prisoner tokens from the prison system and put them into the inventory of anyone who isn't supposed to be on a lot. You don't need to actually run a prison to use the tokens, but according to the description in the prison setup the VC recognizes a prisoner token and forbids them from being seen on a community lot while they have one.

With the visitor controller by Two Jeffs, you don't actually need to have the colored keys or anything. You can block anyone from coming onto a lot. You can ban women, witches, professors, anybody with just the Visitor Controller itself. You could try it at least staciew1. And see if it has the affect you want.

I want to see a seasons hack.

One which changes the times the sun comes up and goes down by individual season. So a daylight-time-changer, which changes the hours of available daylight to something more realistic.

Summer: sun up (daylight on) at 5am, down at 9pm.
Autumn: sun up at 7 am, down at 7pm (as it is now in the game)
Winter: sun up at 8 am, down at 6pm.
Spring: sun up at 7am, down at 7pm.

Someone please help me with this!

I'd love a hack/mod that allows a teen sim to go on vacation by themselves, rather than having to use InSim and without having to age up, then age back down. I mean, come on, pretty much every other action has been enabled for teens with hacks.

I'd do it myself, but I suck at modding. Also, it doesn't help that SimPE won't work no matter what I try to do. Probably has something to do with Vista. CURSE YOU VISTA!!!

Disabling actions between two sims that they won't do. For instance, I had the interaction to flirt. The girl sim asked and the boy sim was being asked. The boy sim had a higher relationship with the girl, but still refused to do things like go out on a date, flirt, kiss, etc. I tried the opposite and the girl refused the boy, too. Why in the world were those refused by both of them? They shouldn't even be options at that relationship level if it's going to be like that.

For example, you go to a restaurant and you have already been seated. It would be cool to have the option to click on a sim to have them join you. Or if you see someone sitting in the cafe, you could click to join them. A much more realistic alternative to the game's "groups." You should be able to join/have join when already seated.

There already is one for that firefly. At the insimenator, search the Squinge section for "Stop Dropping Baby Bottles". If that other issue with butler is happening though, someone should fix it.

You can change the astrological sign with the boolprop code or insiminator. It's not automatic of course, but at least it's correct. I would love a mod that makes that automatic as I'm really into making the ages realistic (understandable if you see my mods).

Anyway I would like a hack that makes it possible for a sim to play the handheld game while sitting. Who plays with a game boy while standing? That's not realistic I think.

All sims in the lot. Sometimes those behaviors are very annoying(to death), but sometimes I want to let them have fun without my 'intervention'.

This exists already its called the autonomy controller and it's at MATY. Not sure if it's only in the directors cut or if it also shows up in the EP hack files.

Basically you send your Sim to use the computer or any other item that they interact with. Then you click on your Sim and in the menu bar there is an option that says "autonomy". You have the option to make it lot specific or global, you can even ban it by Guide or just by the one type.

For example I have all computers in my game set to be globally non-autonomous. No Sim no matter what location will ever autonomously use either the cheap or expensive computer. As another example I have a hot tub at a dorm lot. I have it blocked for autonomous use most of the time, just to keep the dormies from cooking themselves 24/7. This doesn't affect any other lots or hot tubs in the game.

There is a manual that explains how to set it all up as well.

His mother wants to throw him a birthdayparty but as she isn't friends with any of his (child)friends, they won't come. So the child has to celebrate his birthday without his friends.

There needs to be a mod for the butler...I don't even let my sims with toddlers HAVE a butler any more because the INSTANT one of the parents puts the toddler in the high chair, the butler will drop whatever he is doing and rush to get the toddler out of the chair before the parents can feed it. This results in 2 sim hours being wasted trying to feed a toddler while battling the butler to keep them away from the chair. I've had to make butlers selectable and constantly kill their want to mess with the toddler just so they can get through a meal and get fed. It's really agitating because the butler does a good job of getting toddlers in/out of cribs when appropriate but basically just harasses the baby at other times, OBSESSIVELY.

The best would be a hack that targets the Leader of the Pack's Nibble interaction and edits it so that only 15 relations are needed. My efforts are stymied due to my own inability to find the correct file to open in SimPE that contains said Nibble interaction. The intent would be that lycanthropy is allowed spread wide.

There is no such hack that I know of, here or at MATY or at Simbology. There is a hack here at MTS that changes the Savage interaction so that it is not a negative social. Perhaps that is better at spreading it than my proposal. But doesn't the Savage interaction only show up when the two sims are already at negative relations? I am going to try again and MAKE it work.

I would love to have a 'lullaby' interaction added. The teenager or adult would hold the baby, rock them a little, and sing the nursery rhyme to the baby, for a huge social motive and relationship score boost.

@Shoosh Malooka: For me, the option for one sim to "savage" another appears regardless of positive relationship, but I hesitate to say that it's that way in a clean, un-modded game; I use a hack that prevents personality change and restricts the transformation to 3 days a week. (In my 'hood, to spread lycanthropy far and wide, I use the batbox to make 1 sim a werewolf and then use him to savage everyone else.)

@April: I know there are tutorials out there to recategorize jewelry in the BV jewelry bins, but the method requires SimPE and more patience than I possess. There should be tutorials available if you want to give it a whirl, though.

Combining the wish for "more spells for AL witches" with the "sim murder" wish, I wish there was a way evil witches could Avada Kedavra someone (preferably with a corresponding memory.)

Also, I wish that there was a way to create more than 8 sims in CAS, and create more complicated family ties in CAS than is presently allowed. It can be a pain in the butt to have to edit everything in SimPE after the fact.
