General thread about Mario Kart.
I brought this game after downloading a demo from the Wii onto my DS, and I have to say that, even though in theory the game doesn't have much; no storylines, no clear, straightforward goal - it works! Probably the most addictive game I've played since Zelda for DS.
Has anybody played it over Wi-fi? I have, and found that somehow, people were able to cheat the game! Literally only 2 seconds into the race, before we reached any item boxes, one racer hit me with THREE rocket-like things (the blue ones that seek out the person in 1st place), all within a second of each other! That is impossible for two reasons; One - you can only hold one item at a time, and Two - you need to get an item box to get an item (we hadn't even got near an item box yet), and theres a small percentage chance of you getting the item that hit me... three times... from the same person... [Still a bit miffed, as you can tell.]
