Got interesting tips, strategies, or hints that help when you're floating around in a puddle trying not to get eaten? Post them here! I'll update the first post with the most useful stuff.

My hints:

Watch for currents! The way the bubbles are flowing are currents, and if you have something big and nasty after you, you can often get away much quicker if you hop into a current.

As soon as you can upgrade to get a Jet, get it! It helps your speed immensely, allowing you to get around fast!

Cool, didn't know about the currents. That will be helpful when enormous sea creatures are after me...

- For carnivores, always attack from behind, or from the direction that your prey's "defences" are not pointed. A well placed bite to an unguarded area will almost always end in a nice meal.
- Look for venom excretions and electricity, and avoid both. If you ever die for what seems like no reason, it's because you swam into a pool of venom.
- For carnivores, look for little clusters of brownish grey things. These are eggs and make for easy meals if you wait for them to hatch.

- Keep an eye out for cells with parts you have not unlocked. If you kill them you will get the respective genetic part. With a little eagle eye-ness going on you can quite easily collect all the pieces in cell mode and get an achievement for your troubles.

- The proboscis is the omnivore mouth but don't take that to mean you can literally eat anything. The proboscis won't eat chunks of meat and gets its meat eating through sucking it out of enemy cells, not killing and eating the remains.

*Remember that how you live your life as a cell will directly effect everything else. For example, if you have a herbivore mouth in the cell stage you will only be able to get herbivore mouths in the creature stage.

Also remember that you can have *multiple* mouths. I had both a Herbivore mouth and a Canivore one, and ended up becoming an Omnivore, all without getting the Proboscis.

Mine became an omnivore in the cell stage, but is now restricted to herbi mouths. Carnivore mouths never become available. :\

If it says you where an Omnivore at the end of the cell stage then you should have the middle set of mouths available (not the top or bottom), which are all omnivore mouths.

You get to pick an initial mouth at the start. Then you can add the other type of mouth (the proboscis, though omnivore on its own, isn't as useful as the chompy mouth + tentacle mouth for an omnivore). With both, you're an omnivore. However, just because you had both mouth types for cell stage doesn't mean that you'll be classed as an omnivore for creature stage - you have to actually go around and eat both types. It seems like you have to work pretty hard at eating meat if you started a herbivore in order to be classed as an omnivore later. You can always save right before you evolve legs and if you haven't eaten enough meat (or plants if you started a carnivore) to be an omnivore, then you can reload and continue chomping and try again.

I have found the easiest method is the two different mouths. First upgrade you get when you have some DNA is to get a second mouth. Start as a plant eater, get the carnivore mouth both as your attack, and to allow eating of meat.

Try to eat both evenly and it should set you up for a successful Omnivore transition.

Checking your cell's history as you play comes in handy, in case you lose count of the attacks you've made.

Tips:
---If you have poison or electrical attacks they make you immune to creatures with those same attacks
---Cell stage is the only stage were adding more parts stack
-more spikes added to different sides, will harm other cells from those sides
-more electric attack parts decrease recharge time
-more poison parts leave a longer poison cloud
-More jets make you faster
-more cilia make you turn sharper
---More eyes make you look cooler but do not stack

- The proboscis mouth can make a successful attack inside the mouth of a carnivore that thought it was about to eat you, if it's longer than the carnivore's jaws. Instead of running, spin around and meet the carnivore head on - you'll get in first and prevent them from being able to bite you.
