Welcome to Pleasantview, one of the most well-known and
beloved neighborhood in the Sims 2 world. This volume
will follow the lives of the town's current generation.

Chapter 1 - Aye, Caliente

“When are you ever gonna give it up Dina? Dating rich, old men?”
Nina asks her sister as they relax on the rooftop of their new condo.

“Women who look like us are just like expensive cars to them.
They take us out for a couple of spins just to show people off
every once in a while. They don’t care about our needs. Look at
Donald Trump. Have you ever seen his wife smile?”

“Michael wasn’t like that. I loved him, okay? And he loved me,”
Dina replies with her usual innocent voice.

“Well, he didn’t love you enough to leave his inheritance to you.
Leaving all of his money to his sister, what was he thinking?
It’s not like Bella needed anymore money either. Her family is loaded.
And look what we’re stuck with?" Nina looks down at the condo from her chair.

"It’s good that she disappeared, that Bella,” Nina finished.

“Don’t say that Nina. You heard what the lawyer said.
Michael hadn’t updated his will when we married,” Dina continues,
“Poor Mortimer, though. He really did love his wife.”

“Ha. You couldn't care less! I know you, Dina. You’re not as dumb
as most people think… unfortunately,” Nina says as her sister grins.

“You’re gonna make a move on him aren’t you??” asks Nina, though she
already knows the answer. Like she said, she knows her sister all too well.

Dina shrugs when the doorbell rings, “Mortimer! He's here, Nina!”

Nina shakes her head. If Dina uses the brainpower she devotes to
getting rich men into being an actress she always wanted to be,
they wouldn't be living in this mess of a condo. “Well I’m gonna leave
you two alone. I’m going for a walk.”

Dina runs downstairs to greet her new lover, "Oh, Morty. I've missed you!"

Chapter 2 - Last Night with the Belle Part I

What really happened on the night of Bella Goth's disappearance?

Don Lothario isn’t much of a one-gal pal. And why should he be?
He's basically a chick magnet! Don is young, attractive,
and charismatic, not to mention his career is on the rise.

With that said, Don’s popularity amongst the town has significantly
declined ever since rumors of his involvement in the disappearance
Bella Goth had surfaced. The beautiful socialite was last seen on
Don’s rooftop on the night she went missing. No one had a clue about
what happen... until now

Don's interview with the law enforcement is made public for
the first time to clear up the misconceptions. Don is no longer
the suspect and he's bound to proof to the town that he is
innocent and earn his reputation back.

“I was making a double martini for myself after a long day of work
on the balcony when somebody knocked on the door. I thought it
was Kaylynn, the maid, because she'd left her umm… cleaning…
utensils here earlier in the day,” Don nervously stuttered.

“But it was Bella. I was very surprised. We haven’t talked much.
Only at her charity events and sometimes when I go over to the
mansion for her daughter,” he paused, "my fiance."

“Anyways, I let her in. She said she wanted to congratulate me
on my engagement with Cassandra." Don continues.

crying earlier. Her eyes were puffy. She looked very depressed, officer."

"Then what happened?" asked the officer.

Ahh. I haven't updated the story since forever! Ahaha. I have a pretty good excuse though. Have you ever played Sims 2 let alone use a laptop without a mouse? Yeah, that's what I have to do for the last two weeks. Sighs. Anyways, I want to thank you all for all the nice comments. I'm posting the next part in a couple of hours! How exciting! Weeeee.

Yay! Finally! I've been busy with school and the like so I haven't updated
in a while. And like I said before, having no mouse sucks when you're using
a laptop. So that's another reason. But I'm back now! Yay!! I miss writing
these awful soap operas. Haha. Don't you just love Pleasentview characters?

Chapter 2 - Last Night with the Belle II

Don Lothario continues his recollection of the night:

“We got to talking and she told me that she was
having problems with Mortimer, her husband.”

“Bella was crying. She said he was always occupied with his studies…
something about communication with the dead. She said he was never
home,” Don continues, “In my own way, I understood her, you know.
I can imagine feeling lonely, especially in this town.”

“I consoled her. I told her everything was going to work out.
At that moment, when I hugged her.. All I could think about was
how much fragile she was. I felt like she needed me."

After she calmed down a little, we had a couple of drinks and
she wanted to take a look through my telescope," Back to his own
element, Don winked at the officer, who in turn rolled his eyes.

"Ahhha. Really though, we went up to the rooftop," Don collected himself.

"So I stayed up there with her. We were looking at the sky at first but
Bella wanted to mess around and peek at the neighbors,” Don grins as
he tells the story.

“We saw Daniel Pleasant. He was doing it with some brunette
girl who must have been half his age,” Don chuckled. “It certainly
wasn’t his wife, that’s for sure.”

“We laughed, our eyes locked, and the next thing you know it happened."


"I couldn't control it. She was beautiful. And she deserved better than
that crazy scientist. Everyone knows she only stayed with him for the kids."


"You do remember that one of her kids is your fiance, Mr. Lothario?" The officer reminded him.

Don sat still on his faux leather couch for a while, looking down at his feet.

"I loved Bella," He finally said. "I love her. I've been secretly in love with
her ever since I met her. Now she'll never get to know how I feel about her
because she's gone. She's gone."

Was that a tear in a corner of Don's eyes we see?
Looks like we found the kryptonite of this infamous lothario.Too bad
the scandal-magnet socialite isn't here to enjoy this moment.

"We ended up going into my bedroom and we've done things that we shouldn't have done. Some adult things."


"Alright, alright. No need to emphasize." Says the officer, shaking his head.

"After we did it, Bella felt so guilty about what we’ve done."


"She kept saying sorry. She said, 'I'm sorry. I shouldn't have
done this to you. To my daughter. To my husband. I'm sorry.
I'm so, so sorry.' She kept saying that."

"I kept telling her it was okay. That it was nothing. It wasn’t
her fault. She kept saying sorry. She got up and got her clothes.
To be honest, I've never seen anyone get dressed that fast before.
I'm usually the one to.. you know.. It was kind of impressive."

"I ran after her while she was running out the door." Don paused.


"Her last words to me were, 'Take care of my daughter. I trust you,
Don, you're a great guy' and she was out of my sight."


No one has seen Bella Goth since. The police believed
Don was sincere and concluded that she ran away because
she felt guilty for cheating on her husband with her daughter’s fiancé.

The police promised to keep the investigation but with the crimes
that have been going on lately, there seems to be more things
going on in town that concerns the police than a runaway person,
even if that person is Bella.


Don decided the right thing to do was to keep his relationship with
Cassandra. For Bella's sake. Besides, Sandra is kind of hot... In her
mysterious, quiet way.

Brandi Broke smiles charmingly at a customer as he gazes at the
dessert freezer.

and for dessert we have cheesecakes, baked alaska and
our signature chocolate cake is also really popular."

Business has been great today. Of course, Brandi hasn't
always been so cheery. Her husband and high school sweetheart,
Skip, passed away during a freak pool ladder accident,
leaving her pregnant, with two children and virtually no money.

For a long while, she was mad at her husband for leaving her with
the burden. But with the encouragement of her friends, Brandi has
rediscovered the talent and joy in cooking. She decided to launch
a little to-go restaurant right in her own home and it has proven
to be a great success so far.

And to put the last chapter of her life behind, Brandi plans to save
up money to buy a real restaurant and a new home for her family.

regrets the invitation but she can't turn away her sister. Her
annoyingly manipulative sister. Turning to her boyfriend,
she says, "She can come over right honey?"

It was this time that the headlights of Darren Dreamer’s car shine through
the window. Dirk’s father is home from his gallery. Lilith can barely recollect
herself before Mr. Dreamer enters the house. Her parents are on the verge
of separation and her boyfriend has been hanging out with Sydney Evans.

"Now go wait in Darren's car, love. It's getting late. We'll be with you
in a few minutes," the woman suggests in a rather strong manner.

haha thank you for noticing! i try to put as much twists into the story because
i feel like if i don't, it gets really predictable.. don't you think so?

The Burb will definitely appear later on but right now I'm trying to focus on
the Caliente, Lothario, Dreamer, and Goth because they're the adult of this
generation. I'll do the teenagers too but maybe not as much? And I'll have
find a good way to tie everyone's story together somehow.

Oh and right now I'm writing the next chapter on Nina and Dina... doing what
they do best. Which family do you guys enjoy reading about the most? What
do you all do to your Pleasantview characters?

“Right,” Dina whispers, excited at the notion that she now gets to live
the glamorous life she’s always wanted in this amazing mansion.

Intermission I

Thank you all so much for the comments and all of you who cares enough
to read my story! As I am finishing up the next chapter, I would like to
take this opportunity to tell you a little story.

After giving some strong and obvious hints, I've received a copy of the Sims 3
from my lovely better half yesterday afternoon. I was excited as all of you
can imagine. Since that faithful afternoon, which I now only vaguely remember,
I have been trying to get it to install in my laptop.

My failure to do so has prompted me to pop in my darling Sims 2 cd, torture
some random sims, wishing they were the those from the Sims 3.
After my killing spree was over, I've come to a realization that taking away
precious sims' lives is not the answer to my much more complicated problem.
After the incident, I had me some left-over ham and cheese Lunchables,
and decided to resuming writing.

Village just outside of an urban city not too far from Pleasantview.

the city has been one of many less-fortunate girl’s dreams.

Young Sydney's perfect life came to a sudden stop on a sunny afternoon
which strangely contrasted with the gloomy mood of the Evans household.

dollhouse stationed at the corner of her living room while her mother

Young Sydney, confused and scared, peaked out at the front door which
was left opened by the man early that day to which she found Mr. Evans'

For a split second Sydney was able to make eye-contact with the woman

This was to be the first and last time Sydney remembered hearing her mother cry.

Sydney Evans couldn't sleep. She's been up all night contemplating how her

actually. But it was even before you and Lilith started going out or anything."

Lilith walked her friend to class, "It must suck to leave Bluewater. I love that town."

Pleasant sighed, as she walked her friend to her first day at school.

"Yep, I just moved in from Bluewater Village," says Sydney. She continues as the boy
seemed to be waiting for her to say something more. "Mom couldn’t afford the mortgage

"Let’s see. Born and raised here in Pleasantview. Dad is a
struggling artist and mom passed away a year ago."

"Oh, you’re serious." She finally says, awkwardly realizing Dirk wasn’t laughing with

like to meet up for lunch? I’ll introduce you to some of my buddies."

You and Nina are so cute together," Dina says excitedly.

on your marriage. I’ll leave you two to get ready."

For the past three month or so, Nina had spent much of time getting to know the new neighbor
with benefits, Ryan Cohen, as she played Dina’s wedding planner/assistant.

dude I set her up with on the website actually. He’s got a yacht!" she
continues. "I'm an awesome matchmaker. It's like a sport to me."

Here she goes again, Don thinks. It’s not that he doesn’t love hearing Cassandra
talks on and on about her father. Alright, maybe it is. But for the past three months
of living with Cassandra, Don has realized how much he’s missed his single-playboy life.

First thing first, Lilith's room is a tad bit different. haha. I got Apartment Life to work again and
I've been spending a lot of time redecorating stuff. And as I said before this chapter is picture

I'd forgotten about this story until now. I was browesing through the stories and the title caught my eye. Half way through the first chapter I realised that I'd already read it.

I just started a new pleasantview a few days ago and without realising it I gave my Angela and Lilith the same hairs you did :lol:
It's my first time playing pleasantview with custom content and I'm amazed at how much more interesting the characters seem, when all I've done is give them new hair and clothes.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the next chapter. I promise I won't forget about it again. :)

I'm so happy to know that you also discovered the story the second time around! and i tried a lot of hair one angela and lilith and i found that the ones they're wearing suit them the most for me. I always imagine lilith's hair color to be a bit artificially enhanced while angela's is more natural.

I was going to post up chapter 19 today (my usual friday night posts). finished writing a couple days ago. just need to take some pictures. unfortunately i don't feel up to it. long story short. i lost my blackberry and a kid who found it said he'd meet me at a certain place to return the phone but he never showed up. plus he turned off my phone 10 mins after i hung up so my hope of getting it back is like zero. so now i have to deal with customer service on getting a new one. ugh. and my bio lab instructor is being anal and failing everyone left and right while other lab sections have a chill out TA who asks about kanye west in one of his quizzes. my life sucks. sorry for ranting. if i had my phone with me i'd do it to people who cares. hahaaa yeahhh. :(

quick update.. the boy(who found my phone)'s dad contacted some people on my address book and my boyfriend was able to get the phone back. As you can probably tell my weekend has been kind of crazy so next chapter will probably be posted in the next few days. hope that's alright.

oh and as a bonus to all of you, i'm thinking about making mini-chapters consisting of just pictures of the houses of each character, kind of like virtual tours in between the real chapters. this way you guys get to know the characters better. and when i need more time to work on a chapter or something, you guys at least have something to look at. Open House: Copur-Straight Household

Ivy Copur who works as the right-hand lady of Pleasantview's finest artist, Darren Dreamer,
lives in a new apartment complex called Pleasantview's Bella Park Condominiums.
Her new roommate and coworker, Asia Straight has moved into Pleasantview to escape her past.

You're in luck because the girls have invited us in for a visit at their newly decorated apartment :)

Pleasantview's Bella Park Condominiums is located across from boutique of Pleasantview's own shopping center.
The Copur-Straight unit is a two stories unit (second and third floor of the building), located to your right (above picture)

The door opens up to a small living area, perfect for chatting it up with guests or a small business gathering.

The the right of the hallway are the living room and kitchen/dining room. The living room consists of
two white sofas, a television and a gaming console perfect for relaxing after a hard day of work.

The kitchen has a wood, stainless steel, and glass theme which emphasizes on
cleanliness, just how Ivy likes it. It also consists of a small dining area for three.

The main bathroom has Asia as its primary occupant (since her room does not have a private bathroom)

To the left of the open area is Ivy's room, the main bedroom. It is decorated in green and red with
oak wood furniture, accentuating her professionalism, femininity, and great taste in art and furniture.

Also one question: Where did you get the eyes and skintones? Also is the eyes and skintones default replacements?
oh and the skin colors are the defaults that came with the game :)
People are so used to their default replacements that they've forgotten what Maxis skin looks like! :lol: It's nice to see someone else that isn't using default skins. I was starting to think I was the only one! :)

BriMia, I love the new chapter and the mini chapter! It's cool seeing where the characters live. That mirror pic confused me for a bit. I was looking for the mirror and I couldn't find it! :lol: Slowly, I realised that there were two desks, but it took me a while to figure out that the further away one was a reflection! Clearly there's something wrong with my brain today! :lol:

haha callieshere11 and prosthetic, thanks! I've tried a couple of custom skintones before. They're nice but some of them do look too shiny on the sims and to me, most of them make baby sims look so scary.

That is completely true to be honest, the custom skintones are shiny, but I think that's the point of them (only recently have I started using customs, but I think I may be going back to defaults soon, considering that I've only ever used default replacements, it won't be a problem ;])

Minutes later Nina has given birth to a healthy baby girl.

“Ryan,” Nina says calling her boyfriend over, “She has her daddy’s grey eyes. She’s ours.”

It is one of the proudest moments of Ryan’s life. After anticipating whether the baby was his

@Prosthetics, haha I know right. I like it better that it's Ryan's. I didn't expect Don and Cassandra to have twins though. When I discovered that I was like noooo this changes the plot i had in mind. and since the number of twins were determined when they woohoo, it wasn't like i could go back and reload the household. but it'll work out.. somehow. lol.

heyyyy just thought i'd check in to say what's up. been kinda busy lately with all the midterms and what not. So I just wanted to tell all the jolly readers that the chapters will return on a regular 1-2 chapters a week around december. I might post a chapter or two between now and then depending on my schedule. I'm a slow writer and I don't wanna half-ass everything and just post them up all up. hope you guys still want to read more of my story and i don't lose your interest by then.
