Know any shows that are no longer in syndication or reruns?
Here's some of my old favorites that I can't see anymore because either they are not provided by my cable company, or they no longer show in reruns:
Small Wonder - a show about a little "girl" who was actually a robot
227 - a show that took place in an apartment complex
Alice - a show that took place in a diner "Mel, Kiss my Grits!"
Perfect Strangers - a show about a foreigner and his American roommate
Kate and Alley - a show about two best freinds
Mamma's Family - a show about rural life with a matriarch "Mamma" Thelma Harper
These shows will be missed by me, even though I can still buy them if I like on dvd (some but not all) or itunes, they really make me long for the good old days. Here you can discuss your favorite old shows that you can't see anymore and why you miss them. Please don't just list them, but actually take some time to discuss them, thanks. :)

Well.. some are a bit embrassing but I still love 'em
Boy Meets World, Abc Family dropped this :/ so did Disney Channel.. but they butchered a lot of "touchy" content, still it was the best thing on there and my favorite seasons aren't on dvd.
Rugrats - They have this but no way am I waking up a 2:00 in the morning to watch this.
Catdog - Unforgettable theme song.
The Wild Thornberrys

I though it perfect stranger they were half brothers :/ In Russia they bought many American series and re-filmed for Russian auditory, with Russian towns and actors and names and yadda yadda yadda
I miss 'As Told By Ginger' on nick. that was a very cute show with a real life aspect to it and teen age problems. It was very cute.
Friends- Just wonderful show.
Married with Children- I loved it was funny and ridiculous! Russian version is not as great and filmed badly( house is obviously a stage. In original series it looked like a freaking house  )

I have no idea if these shows are still showing on any channels etc, but I really miss 90s shows like My So Called Life, The Fresh Prince and Blossom even though at the time they originally came out I was way to young to really watch them and understand them. And 90s kids shows like Goosebumps, Are You Afraid of the Dark and Fudge. I also majorly miss Gilmore Girls, even though you can still see reruns etc. And Veronica Mars. But I know they both kind of came to their natural ends. It probably would have been worse to have them dragged on.

Oh and I also really miss Designing Women. That show was soooo funny! I loved especially Bernice - the wacky elderly woman, and Julia the classy owner of Sugarbaker's design firm. My other favorite characters from that show were Allison - the neurotic full of herself partner, and Carlene - the ditsy cousin of Charlene.

Ditto.
VM and GG are my two favourite shows, in that order. It sucked how VM ended though, I didn't like that at all. But I was pleased with how GG finished, and they got a good, long run out of the show.

I also miss the old Rugrats. Last time I checked they grew up into teenagers. I don't know what's going on with them now but I'm not sure if I want to know. :|

As for Mama's Family, that was one of those shows my parents used to love and I grew up watching.
I love the episode where she got her first answering machine. x) "It's your dime, spill it!"
Captain THPS4, the show All Grown Up really sucked. The special (All Growed Up) was cute though.
L_Lawliet, Golden GIrls is also on Lifetime and just started airing on Hallmark.
I'm a huge Betty White fan so I always make it a point to watch it.

Okay, I don't miss her (or any shows, for that matter), but who remembers the Reba woman? "I'm a single mom of four who works too hard and loves her kids and never stops! WHO I AM IS WHO I WANT TO BE!" Dude, me and my sister always laughed about how if this were a real life situation, she'd be smashed flat.

I really miss the show "Wings" it took place in a small airport in Nantucket. That was an AWESOME show! It doesn't come on any station anymore where I am not even in reruns.
Also some British comedies I miss seeing that don't come on anymore where I am in reruns:
"Absolutely Fabulous" and "Are You Being Served?"
These shows used to come on PBS in my area, but not anymore, that's why I deleted PBS from my t.v. because those were the only shows I watched on that channel
Also two more I just thought of that don't air in reruns in my area:
Mary Tyler Moore Show and Ellen (not the talk show with Ellen, but she had a sitcom in the late 90's)

I miss High Incident. It was a cop show from the late 90's. It was good. Not sappy or anything. And we can't even find it on DVD. :( I guess it wasn't "popular" enough.
But overall I love old TV shows on DVD like I Dream of Jeannie, Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie, CHiPs, Starsky & Hutch, and The Big Valley. The first one or two seasons of "JAG" weren't bad either.
Oh, I do like ONE new show, Sea Patrol. But we get it on DVD because I hate watching TV. :D

Dark Oracle (semi-old Nick tv show, totally badass)
Boot Camp (I cannot remember what the real name of the show was, but I remember watching it around '01-'02, basically a boot camp survival reality show like Survivor)
Teen Titans (Cartoon Network. used to be mah favorite show when I was younger)
For the time being:
True Blood
United States of Tara
Secret Diary of a Call Girl
(new seasons not for 6+ months, waaaaaah!)

Aqua Teen is definitely still airing.
To my knowledge, I'm fairly sure it still comes on at about 11:15 or 11:30 on Adult Swim (Cartoon Network) on most nights (probably week nights, but it comes on on weekends at a different time). They're still poppin' out them new seasons, too. :]

I miss Rugrats. I used to watch it religiously when I was a kid.
Before Animal Planet went to poo, there was a show called Animal X. I think this is what started my intrest in cryptozoology. They made a remake of it a few years ago but it only lasted like five eppisodes and was just as crappy as all the other shows animal planet has on the air these days. The old school Animal X was pure win. The spooky narrator, the creepy music and graphics. Why did they have to cancel it. Life is SO unfair!

Six Feet Under. I miss that show just about every god damn day. It was a masterpiece. Every character was raw and simulataneously beautiful and tragic. It was the best show to ever air on television. It was truly the story of life. I cried so hard on the series finale. I have never so fallen in love with TV show characters.
Anyone who hasn't seen it, GO OUT AND BUT IT. You cannot put your money to better use. Six Feet Under is true art. Hell, if you live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, drop by and see me. I'll let you borrow it. It's incredible.

Quantum Leap! Thank God for DVDs! (We don't have TV; too cheap to pay for satellite, and that's the only option out here in the back of beyond.)
And I agree with this:
I miss good quality Star Trek like Next Generation. I'm sorry, new movie was fail, Enterprise was FAIL...*sigh* at least its on every night.
For all that I love Scott Bakula (see above), I just couldn't get into Enterprise, either. We gave it a shot, watched half a dozen episodes but...meh. Didn't grab us. I confess, though, that I liked the utter soapiness of Voyager. *ducks* DS9 sans the horrid final season is my fave, though, even edging out the original show.
And I haven't seen the new movie yet. We'll get to it one day on the Netflix queue.

Arrested Development. What a great show that was been awhile since I would just lol at a TV show.
This is of course the beauty of NetFlix especially if your have the "watch instantly" option for you TV (I knew I would get use out of that WII somehow).
I've been watching "Soap" recently and it is still hilarious. Although it's portrayal of Gay's is pretty ludicrous still it was ground breaking in the fact it did have the first openly Gay character on TV.

Don't you miss To Catch a Predator with Chris Hansen? This man was always prepared for the smackdown and always smarmy to put on a good show. When his plan sprang into action chat logs were busted, condoms laid on the table, and pervs raised their hands over their faces in an attempt to look less suspicious. Types of predators caught: A US military staff sergeant, a US Marine Corps infantry, a US Air Force mechanic, teachers, a rabbi, a New York City firefighter, a criminal investigator working for the Department of Homeland Security, a typical pot smoking atheist wearing clothes from hot topic, computer engineers, a retired police officer on his pension, a Taekwondo instructor, and a cadet in police academy. "Why don't you have a seat, right over there?"

I miss Stargate SG-1, at least, when it was good. I can't really use the word "miss" on most of the other shows I like as I didn't watch them while they aired, but I'd love to see more Star Trek (the original series), Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Batman: The Animated Series, and Dead Like Me.

I'm surely going to show my age here, but does anyone remember an old PBS kid's show called "Today's Special"? It had the guy who turned into a mannequin when he wasn't wearing his hat. There was an old man puppet and a little mouse. They lived in a mall. It was awesome.
I really liked the show "Roswell". It was a guilty pleasure at the time. I have all 3 seasons on dvd.
Some people have already mentioned great shows like Fragglerocks, Star Trek:TNG, Charmed, Buffy, Angel, Animaniacs, Roseanne...

I miss Malcolm in the Middle. That show was hilarious. It'd be pretty hard to continue it, though - it was concluded in a pretty satisfactory and final way, and the only imaginable way to continue it would be to add more characters and act as if it were a couple years later. That would be sort of lame.
Pre-format-change Scrubs was also good, and I miss it as well. The ninth season of Scrubs, where they changed the formatting, was nowhere near as good.

Yeah Malcom in the middle was good. I wish they would have a time where they would show all the episodes from beginning to last. If House gets cancelled I will be upset.

Sure do. And you're right. That was so much fun. I especially love how Muffy had her mouse hole done in the later episodes with the hydraulic elevator and the balcony. It was a mousey mansion she lived in. I think finding the historical marker was the pivot point for that. Like it was her reward for finding it and saving the store or something.

Oh wow, they actually went ahead with a ninth season of Scrubs? Seriously? After finishing it up so well? I won't watch, I prefer to have the memories of when it was at it's best (seasons 1-4) in my mind.
Whilst I have this on DVD, I miss Firefly. Cannot believe that Fox cancelled it without even giving it a chance. And when Joss wrote a new show - Dollhouse - which I thought was a very clever concept (and has Alan Tudyk, one of my favourite actors) they still insisted on messing with the format and then cancelled that too. It might not have been as good as Firefly but I still enjoyed it.

I wish they hadn't cancelled 'Joan of Arcadia' so soon. It definitely had another season out of it, at the very least.

Another Reboot fan here. I'd love to have the entire series on dvd as long as it had option to watch it with English subtitles and good extras like bloopers and how they made the characters. Well, even just a good dvd collection of all the episodes with optional subtitles would be fine. I got into the habit of watching everything with subtitles because sometimes even if they are supposed to be speaking English some people have an accent or you still just can't understand what they're saying even though you know they're speaking your language. Also, subtitles are good for when you are trying hard not to make too much noise because you live with other people and you're the only one up late at night watching a movie or something. I'd also love to have all of Eerie, Indiana ....Are You Afraid of The Dark? Friday The 13th the series, Twilight Zone (both old and "new") Amazing Stories , The Secret world of Alex Mack , ect. Some of the shows others listed I don't really know - (Dark Oracle for example) - but I also watched shows like Doug and Rugrats when I was younger. Wow, I just looked up one of my old fave cartoons and am amazed that it only had two seasons. Mike, Lu, and Og only had two seasons?! I loved that show!

I was watching an old DVD of Lois and Clark last night and realized how much I really loved that show. I also miss the Dead Zone.
