I, personally, believe Fallout 1+2 are the best games on Earth. They are replayable, endlessly filled with different game possibilities and outcomes. A vivid storyline (with even more vivid language ^_^) and some colorful and frightening characters. Shall we start a discussion about these amazing old school games? :Pint:

P.S. I think Fallout 3 sucks, I mean, comeon, a first person shooter Fallout? Why couldn't Bestheda go old school for once? I mean, seriously, they can't just turn Fallout into the next Elder Scrolls (well, they did but you get what I'm saying right?!?) What is your view on Fallout 3?

I'll no doubt come back here and post something a little more substantial on the subject but I can sum up my opinions fairly concisely.

Fallout 3 is a very enjoyable (I'd even go with great) game it is just an average Fallout.

Fallout 1 & 2 are two of my favourite RPGs ever but if you have not had a chance to play it I highly recommend Arcanum which is my favourite RPG of all time. It is developed by Troika which is made up of Tim Cane, Leonard Boryarski and a number of the old Interplay team that were responsible for the first Fallouts.

It uses the same SPECIAL system present in Fallout and ostensibly uses the same mechanics but its world is even more reactive than Fallouts. A truly marvelous example of the genre.
