I was just curious if there were any other programs like TSR Workshop? I tried downloading it and I can't get the #%*#!! thing to work.I've asked for help several times but can't get help from anybody there. I"m frustrated because it looks like a pretty easy program to work with.
Anyway, I have some experience meshing in milkshake and uv mapping.I created a few objects for sims 2 but I guess I feel a little overwhelmed about how to start for sims 3. I'd like to start creating but don't know where to start. Any suggestions.

What do you want to make? There are alternate programs for pretty much everything TSR Workshop can do. If you look here, you'll see a lot of good info: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Sims_3:Modding

I dunno, I do have some experience making objects for Sims 2 but this is a new deal so I'm a little nervous about it.;)
I tried the CAS unitool but right away I hit a road block in step two.:( Where would I post questions about getting help with that?
I'm sorry but I'm not too used to this site and I get a little lost in the layout..no offense but it's just a little confusing..I know it must not seem like it to someone who knows the place well, BUt I have a hard time finding things. I guess the more I use the site the more I'll understand where to find things. But until then I gotta be a real noob and ask a lot of questions.
I figured in the meantime maybe I could look at the tuts for something simple, something like t shirts with new designs or makeup? I do see a tut for making a custom clothing stencil..do you know a tool/tut for Makeup?
Well thanks for you help.

I don't know of any for makeup - yet. I'm planning on doing one very soon. If you hit a stumbling block when it comes to a particular thing, create a new thread here in the CAS Parts forum with as much detail on what the problem was as you can provide, and someone who knows what they're doing will help you. :)
Stencil = logo, so if you want to do a tee shirt with a design on it, that's what you want. :)
