Heya. I need a bit of help, I know by typing in testingcheatsenabled true you can trigger a birthday for a sim but is there any cheats out there or in the game that let you age down? I really need it as have a story on this site that requires the sims to be a certain age but they have all aged up while in gameplay with another family I've been playing for the last few days!

Thanks :)

No, I'm afraid not.

There is a way if you have a mod that allows you to take your sim back to CAS.

Nice thinking DrowningFishy - I THINK the Indiemod does something like that, I may have to have a look in a bit.

I have a bad habit of aging up the wrong sim while dealing with trying to age a pink or blue maggot. LOL CAS has saved me plenty. I have awesome mod... Which does not fully work since my last game error...

GOOD LUCK!

PS: I recently made all the adults teens on one game, don't know why, I just did.

Awesome Mod allows you to edit sim. It's not supported, so do so at your own risk.

I don't use Awesome Mod, only the indie one. Will have a play around later and if all goes well shall let people know!

yes, this works with Awesomemod. I used it recently to see what a sim child would look like as a teen - then forget and left her as a teen. When I re-edited her to make her a child again, she had a stretched out child body that was the height of a teen - kinda funny lookin'. She did snap to proportion after sleeping.

Also, I usually get crashed when trying to use editsim to do anything agewise with toddlers.

Just a thought, you _could_ install Awesomemod long enough to achieve what you're trying to do, then go back to whatever your normal mods are after saving the sim at the correct age.

You don't NEED awesomemod if you have Indie - Indie has its own 'edit in CAS' option. Besides, if they are running Indie without awesomemod as it is, it most likely means their game isn't fully patched, and therefore awesomemod won't run until they patch.

I really miss the reward you could buy with points from Sims 2... that green liquid that aged you down a few days.

We have that in TS3. It's called Life Fruit and Ambrosia. But the old elixir would never age a sim down to, say, adult if they were elders. So that would be of no help here either.

Yeah, but that seems available only to gardeners (without the use of cheats). What about the rest of the Sims?

Aging a sim down, is already a cheat. You can get a tuning mod that allows your sim to buy lifefruit at the store and eat that to give them more life, without having to do any gardening. If you use a mod to edit your sim in CAS, that is cheating, too, and it can also mess up the game (I know because I've used the editsim in CAS option a few times lately). The tuning mod won't mess up your game.

Indiemod does it.
