Okay, so my brother lost my sims 3 disk. I'm now trying to install Awesomemod because it includes a no-cd feature but for whatever reason I still can't get the game to start up...
Could someone please give me a mini-walkthrough on how to install this thing? I know there are 'instructions' on the awesomemod website and I've already reread the MTS faq, but I must be missing something.
I have created a mods/packages folder in the root sims 3 folder, I then extracted the awesome pack and the configurations package, cut and pasted them into the new folder and attempted to start my game. Once again, that little 'Please insert disk' thing popped up.
I've attempted to install the mod into hacks and the main game.
Can anyone help me with this, I really want to give this game another try!
