S3PE Error Message

I'm at my wit's end trying to get this to work! I finally got the program downloaded, but when I try to open the "Gameplay Data" file, this is the error message I receive:

If someone could point me in the right direction of how to get this straightened out, I would love you forever! =)

Khris0221 what version of windows are you using. If you are using Vista or 7 you might need to log on as an administrator to get access.

Or do you have the file open in soemthing else, like you have the game running?

Pet - That would have probably been good to put in my original post! I am running Vista, but I'm the administrator (this is the only account I have on here).

Inge - I had the game closed, but I'll try to close it out and make sure it's out of the Task Manager. It's probably something simple like that :lol:

I finally got around to playing with this a little more (it's been crazy busy lately) and no dice. TS3 isn't running, I've closed out the EADM and it's still not working for me.

I'm thinking this just may be a lost cause for me... :lol:

You could try copying the file and open that copy...I try not to open game packages from source anyway, in case I screw up something

I am running Vista, but I'm the administrator (this is the only account I have on here).Being logged in as admin isn't enough. You have to explicitly run a program with admin privs on Vista if you want it to be able to edit "system files" (i.e. stuff installed in your normal program files location, windows folder, etc). Like ellacharm3d says, copy the file out, edit it and copy back.
