View Full Version : [SOLVED] Missing Package?

One or more expected packages in the path you chose was not found.

I am getting this error in s3oc when choosing my game directory, and the result seems to be no thumbnails. It is cloning fine, but it makes it difficult with no thumbs.

My game path is standard: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3, I don't have WA installed and the box is uncheckecd, I am running patch 1.7.9 (it was doing this for 1.6 as well).

I've tried all released versions, and starting with version 0911-01 they stop responding and won't open, but this is probably a patch issue. These are all non-installed versions.

My game seems to be running fine, the install is only a week or so old. I did not have this problem before reinstalling the game. I suppose I can reinstall again, unless you have another solution? It most likely is an error on my end, but it would be nice to know what and how to prevent it or fix it.

At a quick guess I would say allowance has not been made for game patches not being up to date. Obviously the patch files have been listed in the config file, but maybe not being skipped over appropriately when the files are not present. At the moment you can probably fix it yourself by editing s3oc-ini.ttl in the s3oc install folder and eliminating reference to any packages that are not in your game install folders, as well as correcting any paths to reflect your own installation.

My game path is standard: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3That's standard for Win-x64, not for Win-x86.

There should be DeltabuildN.package files in GameData/Shared/Package.

I've never had pics for the DeltaBuild patch objects (nor WA).

Anyway, as Inge says: take a look at s3oc-ini.ttl file.

Thank you both for replying. After looking at the s3oc-ini.ttl file I found I was missing the Thumbnails/AllThumbnails.package. Fixed by replacing from DVD.
