Effy from skins

Hi guys new project here! I know recently I have been ditching some projects but I have always wanted a sim of this person but always thought it was too hard because of her unique features.

So here she is, Effy also know as kaya scoldelario

I know a lot needs changing but I think I've got a good enough start, any suggestions?

What a nice job so far! The nostril shape is perfect, but the tip of her nose needs to be bigger. A profile would help, but it looks like the "indent" in her nose might be in the wrong place. Her lips look very close - bottom slightly less wide. Eyebrows more arched and eyes quite a big smaller. Eye makeup looks great! Lipstick brighter red? (Depending on which source picture you're matching." A little more brown in her hair. Eyebrows look slightly darker than her hair -- probably a red tint added to her hair.

Wow, you've done a pretty awesome job. I think the only thing I would change would be to raise the lower lids of her eyes. They seem alittle too droopy.

I have tried making some eyebrows but they don't look great, So I was thinking I might make a facemask as I really want to capture the sculpt, shadows and eyebrows like in this picture

Does anyone know any eyebrows that look similar to hers? I can't find any and I think that is the key to getting an exact look a like.

I have had a go at making them and they aren't great so I will keep on trying!


Also does anyone know if there is any hair which is more frizzy and poofy like in the video (The hair I have at the moment is fine if there aren't any other hairs its just me being picky)

I think if you'll make the eyes a little bit smaller (the size of eyebrows and the eyes are the same on your Effy), the eyebrows will be look better. Anyway, the resemble is very good. :lovestruc

I agree with the above. Notice how large and flat her nose is above the nostrils. (It may be hard to recreate.) Her eyebrows should be slightly higher, less red - more brown, lighter and thicker. How about these: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=365734 if you can make them so she's not glaring! Her hair also should be less red, more brown. Her top lip looks great! Bottom lip needs to be wider, I think, but thickness (top to bottom) is perfect! Monca533 is right. In the reference picture her eyes are much less wide that her eyebrows. There's a nice hair at Rose Sims on page 2 (http://www.rosesims2.net) - I believe it's free - but I like the style she has now. Keep up the good work!

Okay guys sorry for the long wait

I actually restarted this sim because I was getting so frustrated with my old one as it seemed to be getting just worse and worse, and now I think I am finally getting somewhere.

There are still a few things that are bothering me and that is the eyebrows and the nose. The nose is so hard as it is such a strange shape. I keep trying to make the nose tip larger but then it looks worse!

So I think i'm going to try and make a mask to try and capture Effy's look (hopefully with a texture it might solve the nose and the eyebrow problem)

any suggestions?

What do you rhink about to change the skin tone? Peggy's skin, for exemple. Maybe it will help you with the nose shape. Eyes diminish a smidge. She is comming along! ;)

Thanks I'm actually using the peggy's skin at the moment, and I thought about changing skin but I really want a sim that when you look at it you know who it is straight away so I'm going to try and make a mask first

I love Skins, and actually tried attempting Effy as well but completely failed. Anywho...

Your progress is really superb... though, I think maybe brining the nose down just a tiny fraction and not make her chin so round, it'll be a dead ringer imo. ;)

I think the sculpt is getting really close its just that the texture and shadow is all wrong so this weekend I will try and start making a mask

But one thing I keep noticing is that the head looks a little too wide

well, if you really want it to be perfect, perhaps her headwidth needs to be wider. and i would rotate down the nose tip just a tiny bit. her ears are also slightly bigger. are her eyes really blue? nice work again :)

Eyes need to be less wide. Might need to pull both bottom lids up a little as well. (The reference photo has no white under the iris. The nostril / nose tip needs to be wider. Both lips also just a little wider (side to side) - not thicker. Great work!

Very nice! Widen the nostril area of her nose and decrease the tip/"bulb" as well as the nose definition, if you can. Top lip has just a little too much v in the center. Her top lip needs to be a little smaller top to bottom and her bottom lip more flat - less rounded - at the bottom middle. The bottom lip also needs to be just a bit wider side to side. Can you tip the outer edges of her eyebrows up some? I would make her eyes just a tiny bit smaller side to side, but their shape is great! So, that's up to you. Are you going to add the heavy eyeliner and bright lipstick with the long hair for her goth look? Maybe the hairstyle above for formal. Great work!

just letting you guys know, I'm not ditching this project its juts I've had exams recently so I have been really busy! (just found out I got an A for one I did two months ago!)

She's really shaping up! Her face shape is perfect - wouldn't change that a bit.

Her nose is too sharp, IMO. I'd tone down the definition and make it a tad wider. Also, maybe turn the lip corners up a tad and scale the eyes down a little.

one more thing, i think she needs more jawline OR a less wide head with more jawline. yours has more a v shape while she has more a u shape. or maybe it's the cheeks doing that.

you keep thinning the nose and her nose isnt exactly "that" narrow, try loosening it up slightly and it will be perfect well done really identical otherwise x

As well as all these good comments, perhaps move the nosebridge height slider to the left a little, and the nostril definition slider to the right some. Outer eye corner height down a little.

Maybe give her some subtle eyebags? XD

her lip corners need to come up just a tiny tiny bit so they aren't pointed down but straight, her top lip looks a bit too full, and i think the skin you are using is making her nose look narrower than it really is on your sim - it kinda gives it a boxy look. Maybe try a different skin for her face, like a softer one?

i just totally failed on creating her. i think she's ready, maybe some thicker and longer eyebrows. i'd go for this look with the eyeliner and hair:
