"Hours Meditated" not updating

My journal under martial arts says I have 80.59 hours meditated and further meditation does not increase this number. This is annoying me to no ends since I have spent a lot of time going for the 150 to complete the skill chalenge. I would probly be pretty close by now if not for this bug, so if anyone can figure out a way to cheat this number I would have little reservation about doing so.

While spending countless hours working on online riddles such as notpron and the like, i've learned of a phenomenon that causes a solution to instantly come to mind the moment a question is posted. due to the raging case of the stupids that seems to be inflicting me this morning, i tabbed back in and quit meditating, looked at my journal again, and commenced epic facepalmage.

anyway, so as to not waste this thread does anybody know the effect, if any, of the "meditative focus attained" stat? does it, perhaps, increase the effectiveness of meditative focus while doin' stuff or is it just more random stat tracking?
