This is my first attempt at meshing. What do you think? Any feedback is appreciated :)

The textures seem to be a little wobbly in places.
The shadowing seems a bit weird. The dress looks out of place due to this.
Apart from that, the general shape of the mesh itself looks fine. You should just look at your textures a bit more. :)

Beautiful dress! I think it was better if it was narrower at the bottom.

You really need to put straps on this. I have a 9 year old daughter and that dress would not stay up on her. :) Even if it had elastic around the top, she would be unable to wear it. This why you rarely, if every, see strapless dressed for little girls. Two straps would make it much more realistic and usable.

It looks as if the pattern is pretty stretched in the bottom right corner, I also agree with what everyone else has said

Thanks a lot for your suggestions, guys. Kiara, your compliment means a lot because I really love your work :)

Now that I look at it, I guess the texture is pretty awful 0_o and you're totally right about straps, rian90. I'll work on it and post an update soon.

By the way, how can I fix the streching in the lower corner? Will I have to UV map it? Sorry, I'm a total noob

The dresses of the children in the base game have all this problem, if you notice even the dress of the game at one point the patterns have this aspect so the ideal is not change much the shape of the skirt.

The hands sink into the dress! I have seen other dresses like it (for adults) and it would be best if you narrowed it to the original size.

Very nice for your first dabble with meshing. Other than the texture and straps, I would also add a bit more *Ruffles*, by moving the bottom vertices of the mesh in and out a bit. Not too much, just a very subtle movement will create a nice ruffling effect.

Ok, update #1... sorry it took so long. Not sure if it's better or not, but I tried to take everyone's advice. I gave it a new texture and added straps, and made the dress much narrower, and the hands don't "sink" nearly as much now. I can make it shorter or narrower if need be

Davey, I will definitely try out what you said about adding ruffles.
