Hey! I've been working on Kendra for a while now, and I think its time to enter her in the CFF. I think her jaw, lips and cheekbones are pretty good, but her eyes and nose are a little bit off. So I will be hugely greatful for any feedback offered. :deal:

I'm making her because her show ("Kendra") is one of my shows that I feel unclean watching but I can't resist. I also realised how beautiful she actually is while making her. :)

I don't have a lot of pics now, but I'll add more in my next post. Dayum, she's also one of those celebs who are ALWAYS smiling in pics and who ALWAYS have their mouth open, even when in a neutral pose. So if you have the time, feedback would be great. Thanks a lot. ;)

Yo.

I think the second last pic looks the best and I can see a resemblance but something still isn't right.

I gave up trying to find a non smiley pic.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/hosting/19178_100503091544kendra.jpg

Rotate her nose down a little and bring the nose tip up a bit.
Move the upper eye apex away from the nose a little.
Different coloured eyes.
More eyebrow arch, preferably with eyebrows where the curve starts earlier.
Skinnier nose bridge and make sure it's up right in between her eyes
Possibly less wide bottom lip. Lips are hard cos she won't stop effing smiling!
Less pale skin.

Find an eyeshadow with two or three colour channels. One that has the inner eye corner on it's own channel.

I think you might have problems using the skin you are using because there is no nostril definition, the nostrils blend into the tip of the nose.

Something is wrong with her mouth. She's sorta sucking it in. Too much corner depth? (too far to the left) Or not enough jowl? Possibly her jaw is too far back? I'm not sure hey.

Good start though.

Oh and her bewbs need to be, like, ten times bigger.

Thanks for the awesome feedback LFB! Finally gives me something to do instead of just being stuck! Great source pic too, btw. :)

Hi! So I updated her.

-I got some new eyebrows.

-Changed her eye apex

-Made her "bewbs" bigger.lol

-changed her nose

-gave her a different eye colour

-made her more tan.

-I made her bottom lip less wide

I'll add a comparison pic tomorrow as I have no time right now. Shkool.

So please leave some feedback, it would mean a lot. Thanks!! ;)

Sooo...tell me what you think! ;)

Try defining her nostrils some and raising them up just a bit. Her brows at the front need to come down as well. She also has a really high forhead, maybe bring her face down and adjust. See what other have to say though.

Okay, bridge is good, but the main part of the nose needs more definition, and should be turned down a smidge more to hide the nostril holes.

Her eyes need to be smaller and tilted up a bit on the outside, and closer together.

Her top lip is too thick, and I think her bottom lip is too thick and too wide.

Her nose should be higher, as well as her mouth (see her top lip on source pic with green line above).

And, just throwing it out there, that my Arched Eyebrows (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=379261) would probably look really good on her. :-)

This (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=400576) is one of the eyeshadows I use all of the time, and it really defines the inner eye corner. It might be good for Kendra.

And this eyeliner with lashes (http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims3-makeup-eyeliner/title/UM%20Volume%20Shocking%20Mascara%20-%20LOreal/id/953575/) would go really well.

:-)

Hi guys! Sorry about the update delay, blame crappy school. :)

Anyhow, I'm here with an update. I changed some shizz around that I'm too lazy to list out.

I think the nose looks worse unfortunately. Hah. I think I need to downsize the nostrils or something like that. Thoughts?

Oh, I happened to find a pic of her with her mouth closed and not smiling. Which was not easy at all. ;) It's included in the attached screenshots.

Wow, thanks for that awesome line pic Simmiller! Really useful for comparion purposes. And your eyebrows are the tits, thank you very much. :giggler:

Bella3lek4, I think you misunderstood. I meant that I couldn't find a COMPARISON PICTURE with her mouth closed. Hardy har har. But thanks for the really kind and generous offer though. ;)

@Easzypeaze, oh crapballs I didn't see your post! So sorry, But I'll add your suggestions to my next update which will probably be tomorrow because I'm off. :D

See you guys soon. :mod:

I think the eyebrows have to be a little higher.
And maybe the nose a LITTLE higher too.

6th May 2010, 3:53 AM
Good start! The biggest change I see is that her whole face needs to be longer and her head narrower - but with the same jaw width.

@Damocles, hey, Kendra is NOT white trash! She's matured alot since moving out of the mansion and is a great wife and mother. Fine, she may have been a bit skanky in the past but that's not the case as she has a family now and is doing great. Thanks for your feedback, but theres no reason to go off topic and insult the person I'm making.

@SimmyRN, yeah, I can see that! lol, I always only notice changes when I put the comparison pics togother. Sucks to be me. :)

@maarco, ha, I noticed the eyebrows too. XD Gah, why do I always do that? Oh, and I'll put the nose higher too. :)

Thanks for the awesome feedback guys!

Hey she's looking pretty good! A few things that I can see-

- The lower eyelid apex needs changing. On your sim it curves downwards close to the corner of the eye, where her's curves down in the centre. But I know that might not be possible, coz I always have that problem with my sims. It's just how the stupid sliders are. :|
- Her nose is a hard one to match! I'd say a reduce the nostril scale and give it a lot more definition. At the moment her nose is looking a little smushed. Are you using 234jiao's Asian Skins? I always find that very defined nostrils are hard to get right with that skin, so maybe try some different ones. You may have to tweek a few things if you do.
- her mouth looks like she's frowning, so rotate the mouth corners.
- the chin is a bit too bulgey? Decrease the chin scale and lower it.
- She has a kind of chin dimple? Maybe try Tumtum's chin cleft sliders here, http://mybluebookblog.blogspot.com/2010/04/slider-chin-cleft.html
- I think some eyebags might help.
- Also I don't think this is very important right now but the hair is peggy pay hair right? Could you take photos of her with tied back hair so we can see her face shape more?
- I agree about the eyebrows, but maybe you could try some that are thinner at the ends. But it's up to you, those are great too. Oh and also lighten the colour of them.

Sorry about the huge list, and if I repeated stuff said by other people, but I hope this helps! :)

No probs, I love loads of feedback!

-Yes, the original hair is a peggy pay, but I'm using Anubis' version. ~yay free hair~

-SORRY sorry. I keep forgetting to tie her hair back. :(

- I'll mess around with the eyebrow arch and see what I get.

Thanks for that awesome list of feedback! :P

LadyFrontbum
6th May 2010, 1:21 PM
Alan I think Anubis only did a retexture which means you won't be able to upload it here.
I think there are nicer hairs out there anyway :)

I'm back behbeh!

Anyways, I did more work on her as I was enjoying it. :) So, I think I'm getting pretty close. Please ignore the eyebrows. Yikes! (no offence similler, its the colour of them thats unflattering. lol. )

- She has such a strange nose; it has almost like another part to it, or a ridge or something. I think I'm close, but I can't get that extra part on her nose. Thoughts?

- I changed her eye colour to a more greyish colour and I think its an improvement.

- Makeup: changed to Aarin's "lashed" and Ladyfrontbums "Mocha." I'm also using Kittyklan blush.

- Played about with face shape. I think she needs a less wide chin, and thankfully I have bella's facial sliders so I can fix it next time 'round. :giggler:

- I think I'll download TumTums chin cleft slider. Hmm. Whaddaya think? ;)

- Increased her body weight.

So any feedback would be awesome! Thanks a lot for all your help. :)

Her nose looks good to me, except I think it's a bit too narrow at the bridge bit. Have you tried adding more nose mass? She also looks a bit cross eyed, did you use the eye shape slider? Bottom lip a bit wider. Also, your sim looks a bit pale compared to that picture. Move her mouth up a tiny bit. No offense to anyone intended here, but I'm not sure those eyebrows are the best to use, they almost look drawn on rather than hairy (?) like Kendra's, can't explain properly. They're the right shape though.

I'd say she's really close! Well done.

Alan_Gast
27th Jun 2010, 6:57 PM
I know, those eyebrows do not suit her one bit, I just wanted something around that size.

Thank you! ;)

If you use CTU, you could edit some base game ones. EyebrowsLowThin I think could be turned into Kendra's.

Alan_Gast
27th Jun 2010, 11:17 PM
Hi guys! Here's an update for you. :giggler:

- So, I made her chin less wide.

- Made her more tan.

- Gave her a chin cleft

- Tweaked the nose and changed eyebrows (yes, I know they're high, but I was trying to avoid an issue with the eyes, so I'll work on it tomorrow. lmao ;) )

So, to do:

- Nose needs to be higher
- Needs better eyebrows
- Needs appropriate hair
- Needs outfits
- Her chin might need to be wider. Lol.

I think I'm pretty close, but obviously she has some more fine-tuning things so I'm still busy with her. Your help is very much appreciated so thank you!! :king:

those eyebrows have got to go. try playing with her eye shape more. her nose looks really good, but maybe move the tip up? are you also using side profile pics for reference?

Alan_Gast
27th Jun 2010, 11:57 PM
Yeah they do. (no offence) lol. I think its the apex thats off? Oh, and no I'd better go search for some side shots.

Thanks for the help!

Hi guys! I'm back with some new shots and stuff. :)

- So, I added LadyFrontbums new silk face skins
- Tweaked her eyes
- Found new eyebrows (yay or neigh?)
- Tweaked eye apex's
- Changed skintone slightly
- Did something to the nose (can't remember what, ha. :giggler: )

I can see that the space between her chin and mouth is too large, but the "chin height" slider is maxed out. What should I do?

Anyways, please leave feedback and thanks in advance. ;)

LadyFrontbum
28th Jun 2010, 10:43 AM
ok. Move her top apex more toward her nose.
Give the nose a tiny bit less mass.
Can you remove the lipstick next time you update the pic? :)

I think her cheekbones need to be raised up a bit. See the line of her cheekbones that cuts through to the mouth edges? That should be up a bit.
She may need a bigger forehead too and possibly a skinnier head.
Move her entire face down a little bit, it will fix the chin issue and the forehead issue.

:)

Hi guys! You know what to do. ;)

LadyFrontbum
29th Jun 2010, 3:49 AM
the top apex is still wrong, it needs to be a lot closer to the nose. I'd tell you which direction but I can't remember which way brings the apex inward :D

i think you are going to have to find a new reference shot to get her mouth right.

What happens if you up the definition of the nose? Just curious.

SimmyRN
29th Jun 2010, 4:02 AM
The sim's eyes need to be closer together. Keep up the good work!

Audrey
29th Jun 2010, 10:10 AM
Chin needs to be more square.
It looks like you have cleft in the chin which Kendra doesn't have.
Too much nose mass.

You'll get there Alan.

Hi guys! I'm pretty sure my excessive tweaking has butchered her lol.

I really need help with the eyes, they suckkkkk. :(

Thanks for your help guys, Imma go to bed and I'll be on here in the morning. Bye! :)

LadyFrontbum

The top apex is at the wrong side, Alan. *shoves it to the middle*

Haha. Srsly, take the apex slider in the opposite direction to where it is now :D

SimmyRN

Her chin needs to be wider, more square (less pointy). Good work!

Hey! So, I got bored with tweaking her and decided on her outfits instead. ;)

I'm also including pics on how she looks now, and a random snapshot.

RoadRageBarbie
2nd Jul 2010, 7:41 PM
Maybe make her chin a bit smaller in scale, then make it wider with bella3lek4's sliders? Her eyebrows could also be rotated up the tiniest smidge. Her eye apex should actually be towards the inner corner, not the outer.

SimmyRN
4th Jul 2010, 12:12 AM
It looks like the sim's whole head should be narrower. The model actually has quite a thin face. You may want to shorten the nose a bit and move the mouth up a little. It looks like the sim's mouth is too low in relation to the jaw - which is quite sharp/angular. Can the jaw be softened any? The eyes are looking much closer!

If you're bored with working on her, why dont you take a break, and then come back with a fresh perspective?

Alan_Gast
4th Jul 2010, 12:48 PM
Lol I'm not bored, I was just gone all yesterday and I'm working on another sim (shes done) so I'll update in a few days? I think I need a break anyhow. Thanks for commenting, I'll be back shoon! ;)

Sometimes the best thing to do is to stop working on it for a day or two and then come back with fresh eyes to see what you couldent before. I've done it plenty of times.

True dat! ;)

Ok, I'll be back in a few days....
