View Full Version : I can't get cursed!

My Sim needs to be burned, soaked and cursed to finish a quest. She's so skilled that she can turn off fire vents just by walking over them, so getting burned was hard but she finally did it. Soaking was easy to take care of too.
But she's gone to three tombs in order to rile up a mummy. She's met three but has beaten the snot out of each one of them...consequently she seems unable to get cursed. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

I've got the same problem. My sim's got the 'lucky' and 'brave' traits and a 10 in martial arts. There isn't any trap she can't somersault over. The only mummies left in my game are steaming piles of ash (haven't seen a 'live' one since December). She's got all the tomb sigils in her pocket, save one in Egypt (maybe it's in Karnak, or the smallest pyramid- those are the only places she hasn't found much of interest in).
I finally had to cancel that quest for her. It's easy to excel in the Sims 3, but hard to screw up.

Cheat? I had a problem like that, too, so I used testingcheatsenabled and switched out her traits. I put in Unlucky, Loser, and I thought one more. Save it before you fight the mummy, then just keep trying, reload it until you finally get cursed.

There's a well of cursingness you can download, but really, once you have kung-fu and max out athletics, you can't win. The Bodybuilder achievement pretty much guarantees you win any fight.

Thanks all...my Sim has Lucky and Brave traits too, and 10 in athleticism and 9 in martial arts. I guess I'll just cancel out of that adventure, although it seem to keep coming up. She's done nearly every adventure now and I find the tombs do not reset for her live-in protegee. Since my very skilled Sim has lived 968 days I wanted her buddy to take over the adventuring but now that I see all tombs have basically been "used up" I guess I'll just go back to Sims 2. I don't find the Sims 3 base game interesting and WA gave me some fun for awhile, but...does anyone know if the tombs will reset if I move my protegee to a different house?
