So, anyone watching this year? Couldn't find a topic about this on the first pages, so I made one. I want to hear what you guys think :D
I've been loving this show for years now, and this year it's extra super awesome, because it's in Norway, my country! So all you Europeans out there, what do you recon this year? Any favourites? Norway will be hosts next year again, right?

I've never really bothered with it but I live with my aunt now who loves it, so this year we're hosting a Eurovision party. We're the host country and all the guests have been assigned different countries. Everyone has to dress and bring food of their country. It's gonna be fun!
As research we've been watching the semi-finals (Greece's song is so darn catchy, OPA!) but I've not actually heard Norway's entry yet.

I'm watching it. I'm from Serbia and I kind of like our song. I would like Israel to win though because he's one of my favorite singers outside Eurovision.
Other songs I like were Estonia, Slovakia and Switzerland but those didn't make it to the finals.
However, I think Germany or Azerbaijan will win. :\

el_flel: That party sounds awesome :D
jooxis: The guy from Serbia looks so creepy! What's up with him?
So far I'm liking Germany, Iceland and United Kingdom.

Ew, United Kingdom is just horrible.
The Serbian guy looks sort of creepy because of his hair, I believe. It's a strange haircut, especially for his round face... but oh well, the song is catchy enough for me.

Don't forget his teeth. They're freakishly straight and white. He looks like a character from some anime
Well, tomorrow is the grand finale! Too bad Sweeden didn't make it this year.

Exciting! Just waiting for the results now. And I'm a bit nervous about what the entertainment will be. In the semi finales it was so lame.
I laughed so hard when Jimmy Jump entered the stage during Spains preformance... :P

The party was good. I recommend it! Not surprised we came last, the song was rubbish lol.

I love the Eurovision and watch it every year! Norway were fantastic hosts this year, the set was fabulous. I thought all the songs were pretty good this year. Shame Ireland didn't do better after our first time getting to the final for several years, but kudos to Germany for winning for the first time in over 20 years!!

I'm from Germany and saw the contest yesterday with some friends. Obviously we had quite a party due to this (for me) rather unexpected win. Actually I'm not really a fan of Lena's rather off-key voice or the song, and I think her victory may have had more to do with her charming personality and clever marketing, but one can't have everything ;). Although I must say she did raher pleasantly distinguish herself from all the scantily dressed and big-bosomed euro-pop divas (not that I mind those, but it is just too much of a good thing :P). Well, I hope we can get past our Eurocision inferiority complex now :D
Anyway, I though it was a rather good contest this year. Nothing really outstanding, but neither anything really bad (except maybe Blarus and GB - although the latter I think do this on purpose). I rather like the Greek and Albanian song; and the chemistry of the Romanian performance.

I loved the Romanian song too :)
Fun Fact: The piano dude from Romania is half Norwegian, and came in second in last years Norwegian finale, behind Alexander Rybak.
Norwegians never learn. We vote for ballads and modest performances, but that just doesn't cut it in the finales. Let's hope for better results next year. We had a nice song this year, but it just doesn't cut it for ESC.
Congrats to Germany, it was a deserved victory!

Well I don't like Germany and Turkey, even that they ended up on the first and second place.
But, I LOVE DENMARK SONG SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH !!!!!!!!
It's one of the best songs that I heard on Eurovision, but sadly it was fourth. And Chanée & N'evergreen are great (even that he is 10 years older than her!), just like the lyrics of the song! I just love how 4/5 of song text is just refrain, repeating over and over. It was some sort of energy-ballad, and I enjoy listening every second of it!
Other than that, I like Romania, Armenia, Bosnia and Belarus. I was shocked when I saw that Belarus was just one step above last. Also I like Malta, but it didn't end up in final, even that the song was amazing.
