Sorry for the cheesy name :giggler:
Yes, I've made another one. I was greatly inspired by http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=110632
and by feedback I received on my last lot. Today, I bring you...
SPLASH n' DIVE WATER PARK!!!
Featuring two water slides that'll drive the kids nuts!!
WARNING: If you have any neck or back problems and/or are pregnant or may be pregnant, please do not ride the water slides for your head may fly off or your future child may be a rebellious dare-devil that will drive you nuts... in the bad way, though. Don't say we didn't warn your butt!
----------------------
NOTICE: This water park has not yet been approved by the National Safety Department of Whatever for SimNation, but we're opening it up to the public anyway 'cuz we want that bling-bling-- erm, we mean... uh, nevermind. You didn't see anything!
----------------------

Okay, now back to business. Here are the pics:

I like this one much better! Why not connect the two pools at the ends of the slides?

Lights in the buildings! and some terrain paint would work wonders. It's a really good start!

Wow! Have you - erm - playtested it to see if anyone can actually go down that shark slope? You know how sims can't go down steep slopes when walking, IDK if it's the same in swimming.
Hahah and I loved the little thingy at the top ;)
Anyways. Great that you've added some trees and bushes and whatnot, but it still looks a bit - bare. Add more short bushes/ferns along the walkways on the bottom and maybe some flowers. Oh wait, there aren't any walkways on the bottom. Just thought I'd point that out.
Okay, I love the little coffee bar thingy from Dolphin Grill and I LOVE how it isn't just in the middle of nowhere.
Like it was mentioned in your last thread maybe you should have some showers so that sims that spend all day here don't stink up the lot.
Oh and the tunnel looks like a good idea but it seems too big and I also think that it should have something around the edge instead of just the flooring ending like that. I'm thinking one of the flower garden separaters found in fencing.
What's with the counters/radio on top of (what I think is) Olympia Hills? Not really sure what the counters are for although the radio is a good idea.
Lastly I agree, lights would be pretty essential.

Do you have the curved pool tool? Maybe change some of the corners to rounded edges- it will look better.

I would add more colour to Dolphin Grill and the toilets, they look bland and boring. Just add some interest. I wouldn't go to a bog standard water park, I want creativity, I want fun, I want colour. Maybe look at real water parks for inspiration. Add play areas for kids, add other things to do then swimming. I don't just want to go there, swim a bit then go home! I like the idea of the water slides though. Maybe make the pools bigger so Sims can swim without getting stuck by Sims coming down the water slide.

I posted this in your other thread, but you deleted it. I still have the same suggestions. Your lot looks a bit plain. Use some terrain paint and some CC. Make an area for eating, place a floor and surround the area with a fence or hedges or something. The stairs that go straight up don't look much better. Here is what you should do, it takes more time but looks 100 times better. I would also remove the cell phone buying station as it has no place at a water park.

So, maybe use picnic tables?

Add railings?

Also, why are there so many community phones?

This is a big improvement from your last one! Really great!

My only suggestion would be to add more plants so its almost like a jungle. This could make it more interesting, because at the moment it looks just a little empty.

I think with a bit of work this could be AMAZING! :D

Major thanks to Harryishere for the "jungle" idea! There's so many trees, I wish this was real. :| Also the rest of you REALLY helped me to make this park more unique! Here's what I've edited/changed so far:

I think it is a MAJOR improvement from how my park looked before. It's pizzazz! Would you guys download this, if it was up for download?
:!: :!: I need 3 testers to make sure the park is functional! If you are interested, you should have a pretty good computer that is able to handle all those trees. I need testers because frankly, my laptop can't handle the trees. :| Then again, Windows 7 might be to blame because it's screwed up just about everything else in my game. :!: :!:

Why you do not color the pool walls? And since that this is a water park, why don't you make a larger area for swimming? Also in some parts your slides are very awkward, and that could be a problem for sims. And why don't you put some lounge chairs for sunbathing? And add more tiles, after all it's a pool lot.

Hope this helps :)

I'll be happy to test it too, what packs/eps does it require?

:alarm: :alarm: :!: UPDATE: I have decided to post my lot at Joninmobile's site. (http://www.theninthwavesims.org/apps/forums/topics/show/3021062-splash-n-dive-water-park) Please download it there. The lot now has a roof over the barista counters and some more stuff, but you'll have to check it out at the site I just gave you the link to 'cuz I'm too lazy to post ALL of those pics here...
Oh yeah, um it requires all EPs except for stuff packs cuz I dont have any. So i dont think many people will be able to test it.
First I'll put some color into the buildings like Gena said... do you guys think that's it and then my lot is good to go?
UPDATE:
http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh282/Lavaster/park12.png
I also added a restaurant check-in booth thingy because I forgot one. It's right next to a tree next to the restaurant building.
Is this the finishing touch? Also, if you are interesting in play-testing, I mainly need the water slides to be tested. I have all the EP's but none of the stuff packs so if you have all of them but no stuff packs, you can help me out! :)
Message me if you qualify and can handle all those trees  I mean, my laptop can't. If you have a graphics card like mine, though, and can't handle all those trees but really wanna help, I can remove the trees for you... trees aren't usable, anyway, so that won't affect functionality.
UPDATE: Testers aren't NEEDED anymore, but if you want to test it out still I could have one more tester.
