Chests in WA reveal... NOTHING. Why?

Alright I have searched EVERYWHERE for the answer to this problem. I got nothing. I've tried playing without downloads I still get this stupid glitch. Here it is in a nut shell: Every treasure chest I open in the tombs ("Look Inside") end up with nothing inside of them. I have been to several tomb sites, and probably opened more then 30 of these chests. There is never anything in them!
:!: I can't finish the first main mission in Egypt because of this, and it has frustrated me so much. Also I can't seem to move statues around. I don't get the option to inspect anything other then the fire traps, and hidden doors.

Click on the Help dropdown at the top of the page, then choose Sims 2 or Sims 3, and see the FAQs there.
